The Object

Cut and joinedinto something unexpected

The Westerwald Chandelier starts with high-quality iron precisely cut and assembled into an abstract, geometric form — no shade, no visible bulb, just clean black arms that carry integrated LEDs. The light itself reads as part of the structure: warm or cool white glowing along the edges of a form that doubles as sculpture. Five widths from 60 cm to 150 cm; adjustable cord to 1 m.
Why you'll love it
  • Abstract iron structure — statement sculptural form overhead
  • Integrated LED — warm and cool white modes
  • Five widths: 60, 80, 100, 120, 150 cm
  • Adjustable cord to 1 m — set the hanging height
  • Fade and temperature resistant — long-term performance
Details

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

On the detail

Ironprecisely cut, cleanly joined

The Westerwald is built from iron sections cut to precise angles and welded or bolted at junction points — no casting, no ornament, no filler elements. Each arm is structural; the integrated LED strips run along the inner edges, so light traces the form's geometry rather than escaping outward. The result reads as a drawing in three dimensions, suspended from a 15 cm canopy.

Frequently asked

Free worldwide shipping arrives in approximately 15–21 business days. Larger sizes (120 and 150 cm) may be packaged in multiple cartons; our team will confirm dispatch details when your order is placed.

We strongly recommend it — the fixture is hardwired and the larger sizes weigh up to 12 kg. A certified electrician ensures both the electrical connection and the ceiling fixing are safe and secure.

High-quality iron and stainless steel in a matte black finish — both chosen for rigidity and resistance to the heat generated by integrated LEDs over years of continuous use.

Yes — integrated LEDs consume significantly less power than equivalent incandescent or halogen sources, with 50,000 hours of rated life. Lower running costs without sacrificing output quality.

Dimmable on request — specify when ordering and we'll configure the fixture accordingly. The standard version switches between warm and cool white but does not dim.

A soft dry cloth on the iron arms periodically is all that's needed — the matte black finish doesn't show dust readily. The integrated LEDs require no maintenance for their rated lifespan.

No — it is designed for indoor installation only. The iron and stainless-steel construction is not weatherproofed, and exposure to moisture could damage the finish and electrical components.

50,000 hours — roughly 17 years at eight hours a day. The integrated LEDs are rated to hold consistent colour and brightness throughout their lifespan without significant degradation.

Not out of the box — the standard version is a direct-wire fixture. Dimmer-switch compatibility is available on request; smart-dimmer integration would depend on the dimmer module used in your home system.

Yes — 1-year warranty included, extendable to 2 or 3 years. A 14-day return window applies from the date of delivery. Contact our team to initiate a return or warranty claim.
