The Uncinus uses an integrated LED array — far more efficient than equivalent incandescent output. At 80W it delivers 8,800 lm, a ratio you wouldn't achieve with traditional bulbs without drawing significantly more power.
Yes — the Uncinus is built from aluminium and acrylic, both rated for indoor use over many years. Aluminium doesn't corrode; the acrylic diffuser resists yellowing. The gold or coffee finish is applied to last.
