The Object

Branchingeach globe its own glow

The Serridslev grows outward from a central stem: a symmetrical branching structure in metal, each arm ending in an opal glass globe. The globes diffuse the G9 LEDs inside into a soft, even warmth — no exposed filaments, no harsh points of light. Choose black or gold, and nine, twelve, or eighteen heads depending on the room.
Why you'll love it
  • Opal glass globes diffuse light evenly — no glare
  • Symmetrical branching form — sculptural from every angle
  • Black or gold finish to suit the interior
  • 9, 12, or 18 heads to match the room scale
  • Replaceable G9 LED bulbs, dimmable on request
Details

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

On the glass

Opal glassthe source disappears

Each globe on the Serridslev is press-formed opal glass — white and slightly translucent, so the G9 LED inside reads as a warm glow rather than a visible bulb. The glass sits in a simple metal cup at the end of each arm, held firmly enough to last but easy to remove when a bulb needs replacing.

Soft diffusion

Opal glass turns each bulb into a warm globe of light — no hotspots, no visible source.

Frequently asked

The Serridslev is made from metal and glass — a metal frame with a black or gold finish, and opal glass globes at the end of each arm. Both materials are built for long-term indoor use.

The Serridslev comes in 9, 12, or 18-head configurations — each head uses one G9 LED bulb. All bulbs are included; replacements are standard G9 fittings available at any lighting supplier.

Yes — the Serridslev drops up to 50 cm as standard. If you need a longer drop for a high ceiling, contact us before ordering and we'll configure a custom cord length.

The Serridslev provides warm, diffused ambient light. The opal glass globes spread each G9 LED into a soft glow rather than a directed beam — comfortable to sit under, pleasant to look at.

Yes — the Serridslev works well over a dining table, in a living room, or as an entryway centrepiece. The 9-head version suits mid-size tables; the 18-head works in larger, open-plan spaces.

Dimming is available on request for the Serridslev. Let us know at checkout and we'll configure it for use with a standard wall dimmer. Standard G9 dimmable bulbs are compatible once set up.

The Serridslev runs on 90–260V AC, so it works with power supplies in Europe, North America, Australia, and Asia. No voltage transformer is required.

Yes — all mounting hardware is included. The Serridslev is hardwired to a ceiling junction box; professional installation by a certified electrician is recommended, particularly for the larger 18-head version.

Yes — the branching structure and opal globes are a classic mid-century reference, while the black or gold finish grounds it in contemporary settings. Both finishes work across a wide range of interior styles.

The Serridslev uses G9 LED bulbs — considerably more efficient than halogen equivalents at the same light output. The 9-head version runs at 45W total; the 18-head at 90W. The Serridslev ships free worldwide in 15–21 business days.
