Installation Guide

No wiring here — just careful measuring, drilling, and mounting. Mortice locks take a bit more patience than a simple knob.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — surface installation on doors, drawers, or cabinetry; check your product's dimensions for placement and drilling points

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver (Phillips and flathead), drill and drill bits, Allen key
  • Tape measure, pencil, level
  • Chisel (for mortice lock installation)
  • Screws and anchors, safety goggles

Step by step

  1. Cabinet hardware — mark drilling points — use a tape measure and pencil; a template helps for uniformity across multiple pieces.
  2. Cabinet hardware — drill holes — use a bit matched to the screw diameter, keeping the drill straight.
  3. Cabinet hardware — mount — insert screws from inside the cabinet or drawer, secure the hardware on the front face, and tighten without overtightening.
  4. Cabinet hardware — align and inspect — confirm straightness and spacing before fully securing.
  5. Thumb lock or dummy handle — confirm orientation — determine left- or right-hand door swing and adjust as needed.
  6. Thumb lock or dummy handle — mark installation height — typically 36–38 inches from the floor to the handle center; align the mounting plate.
  7. Thumb lock or dummy handle — drill and attach — drill pilot holes and secure the backplate and handle with the included screws. Dummy handles install directly, no latch mechanism.
  8. Thumb lock only — install the strike plate — mark the latch location on the door frame, chisel a recess if needed, and screw the strike plate in.
  9. Mortice lock — cut the mortice pocket — use a chisel and drill to create a cavity in the door edge, following the provided measurements.
  10. Mortice lock — insert the lock body — fit it into the cavity and attach through the faceplate with screws.
  11. Mortice lock — install the handle — align the spindle through the lock, attach handles on both sides, and tighten with a screwdriver or Allen key.
  12. Mortice lock — install the cylinder (if applicable) — insert the key cylinder and secure with the cylinder screw from the door edge.
  13. Mortice lock — mount the strike plate — align with the latch mechanism and secure to the door frame.

Good to know

  • Double-check measurements before drilling.
  • Use a level for consistent alignment across multiple units.
  • If you're unfamiliar with mortice installation, consult a locksmith or professional.
  • Make sure all moving parts operate smoothly before final tightening.
  • Dummy handles are decorative or pull-only — they don't engage latches or locks.

Metal — tapered toward stone

Pujerra's brass body gently narrows as it approaches each end, meeting a rounded stone cap that breaks the metal's warmth with something cooler. The taper is subtle, giving the pull a slightly sculptural quality without becoming ornate. It's sized to work equally well as a full pull or a compact standalone knob.

Innovative engineering. Intelligent design.

What finish is available for this product?

A vintage brass finish, warm in tone and built to deepen with a natural patina the more it's handled.

What type of hardware does this product include?

A coordinated knob and pull bar, sharing the same tapered brass-and-stone design language across sizes.

How is the knob designed?

A compact rounded form with the same brass-to-stone transition as the pull bar, sized for smaller drawers and doors.

What is the design of the pull bar?

A gently tapered brass body that narrows toward each end, meeting a smooth rounded stone cap.

Where can this knob and pull bar be installed?

Kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, bathroom vanities, and custom furniture — anywhere coordinated hardware is needed.

Is this hardware suitable for decorative applications?

Yes — its sculptural taper and stone detail make it distinctive enough to work as a decorative accent, not just functional hardware.

What interior styles does this hardware complement?

It suits both modern and transitional interiors, thanks to the balance of clean brass lines and natural stone texture.

Does the design focus more on function or appearance?

Both — it's a fully functional pull that also reads as a considered detail, thanks to the taper and stone contrast.

Can the knob and pull bar be used together for a coordinated look?

Yes — they share the same tapered brass-and-stone design, so pairing them across a kitchen keeps the hardware visually consistent.
