Installation Guide

No wiring here — just careful measuring, drilling, and mounting. Mortice locks take a bit more patience than a simple knob.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — surface installation on doors, drawers, or cabinetry; check your product's dimensions for placement and drilling points

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver (Phillips and flathead), drill and drill bits, Allen key
  • Tape measure, pencil, level
  • Chisel (for mortice lock installation)
  • Screws and anchors, safety goggles

Step by step

  1. Cabinet hardware — mark drilling points — use a tape measure and pencil; a template helps for uniformity across multiple pieces.
  2. Cabinet hardware — drill holes — use a bit matched to the screw diameter, keeping the drill straight.
  3. Cabinet hardware — mount — insert screws from inside the cabinet or drawer, secure the hardware on the front face, and tighten without overtightening.
  4. Cabinet hardware — align and inspect — confirm straightness and spacing before fully securing.
  5. Thumb lock or dummy handle — confirm orientation — determine left- or right-hand door swing and adjust as needed.
  6. Thumb lock or dummy handle — mark installation height — typically 36–38 inches from the floor to the handle center; align the mounting plate.
  7. Thumb lock or dummy handle — drill and attach — drill pilot holes and secure the backplate and handle with the included screws. Dummy handles install directly, no latch mechanism.
  8. Thumb lock only — install the strike plate — mark the latch location on the door frame, chisel a recess if needed, and screw the strike plate in.
  9. Mortice lock — cut the mortice pocket — use a chisel and drill to create a cavity in the door edge, following the provided measurements.
  10. Mortice lock — insert the lock body — fit it into the cavity and attach through the faceplate with screws.
  11. Mortice lock — install the handle — align the spindle through the lock, attach handles on both sides, and tighten with a screwdriver or Allen key.
  12. Mortice lock — install the cylinder (if applicable) — insert the key cylinder and secure with the cylinder screw from the door edge.
  13. Mortice lock — mount the strike plate — align with the latch mechanism and secure to the door frame.

Good to know

  • Double-check measurements before drilling.
  • Use a level for consistent alignment across multiple units.
  • If you're unfamiliar with mortice installation, consult a locksmith or professional.
  • Make sure all moving parts operate smoothly before final tightening.
  • Dummy handles are decorative or pull-only — they don't engage latches or locks.

Brass — met by stone at the ends

Ogijares pairs solid brass with rounded stone spheres at each end, a deliberate contrast between warm metal and cool, organic texture. The stone is natural, so its color and pattern shift subtly piece to piece. The bar itself stays slim and architectural, letting the stone ends carry the visual weight.

Innovative engineering. Intelligent design.

Stone ends

Rounded natural stone caps each end of the bar, adding texture the brass alone wouldn't have.

Sized to work as a full-length pull or a compact knob on smaller drawers.

Built solid

Solid brass construction gives the hardware real weight and everyday durability.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Ogijares Cabinet Pull made of?

Solid brass for the bar, paired with rounded natural stone at each end — a warm-metal-and-stone combination built to last.

What type of hardware design does this product feature?

A slim architectural bar with sculptural stone ends, designed to work as either a full pull or a smaller standalone knob.

Where can the Ogijares Cabinet Pull be installed?

Kitchens, wardrobes, bathroom vanities, and general furniture — anywhere a cabinet needs a coordinated knob and pull.

What finishes or color options are available?

Vintage brass, brown, and white — the brass tone stays consistent while the stone color option shifts the overall look.

Does the stone knob have a uniform appearance?

No — the stone is natural, so each piece carries its own subtle variation in color and pattern. That's part of its character.

Is this product suitable for modern interiors?

Yes — the clean brass line and rounded stone ends work well in modern spaces while still reading warm and timeless in classic ones.

Can this hardware be used in commercial spaces?

It's built to residential-grade standards; for commercial installations, check with our team on volume and durability requirements first.

What distinguishes the knob and pull bar visually?

Both share the same brass-and-stone material language, but the pull extends the bar length while the knob keeps a compact rounded form.

Does the product focus more on decoration or function?

Both — it's a fully functional cabinet pull that also reads as a considered detail, thanks to the stone ends and brass bar contrast.

What gives this Knob & Pull Bar a timeless look?

The pairing of solid brass with natural stone is a classic material combination that reads as considered rather than trend-driven.
