The Object

Wood and glasslayered as one

The Manresa stacks a grained wood dome over a rounded opal-glass globe, so the fixture reads as two forms in quiet balance rather than one shade. Wood catches the eye first; glass does the work of softening the LED into an even glow. Metal detailing closes the gap between them cleanly.
Why you'll love it
  • Layered dome-and-globe silhouette
  • Opal glass diffuses light evenly
  • Warm wood grain adds tactile contrast
  • Compact form suits islands and bedsides
  • Sloped-ceiling compatible, adjustable drop
Details

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

On the form

A shade that floatslight escapes at the edge

The wood dome sits slightly apart from the glass globe beneath it, so light escapes around the edges instead of being boxed in. That gap is what keeps the glow soft rather than directional. Metal joins the two materials without competing with either one for attention.

Frequently asked

A soft, even ambient glow — the opal glass globe diffuses the single LED bulb so there's no harsh point of light directly beneath it.

Yes, a replaceable E27 LED bulb ships included, so the fixture is ready to install and switch on right away.

A standard E27-base LED, easy to find and replace at any hardware store when the original bulb eventually needs swapping.

Yes — it unscrews from the E27 socket like any standard bulb once the fixture is powered down, no special tools needed.

A grained wood dome, an opal glass globe, and warm metal detailing that joins the two into one layered, balanced form.

The opal glass filters and spreads the LED's output, turning what would be a direct glow into a soft, diffused wash of light.

It accepts 90-260V, compatible with standard household electrical systems in most countries without a converter.

The 15W LED bulb delivers 1500 lumens, giving strong output for minimal energy draw compared to older incandescent fixtures.

Kitchen islands, dining tables, and bedside settings all suit its compact scale and warm, focused glow well.

Just one E27 LED bulb, which keeps the fixture simple to maintain and inexpensive to replace over time.
