The Object

Stonehung as a column

The Lagos suspends a narrow marble cylinder from the ceiling, letting the LED inside soften into the stone's own veining. It reads less like a light fixture and more like a piece of quarried material, caught mid-air and lit from the inside. A single, focused pool of warmth beneath.
Why you'll love it
  • Solid marble cylinder diffuses light from within
  • Each pendant carries unique natural veining
  • Narrow column form keeps sightlines open
  • Adjustable cord to 1.8m, sloped-ceiling compatible
  • Black or white finish
Details

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

How it's made

Carved, not mouldeda solid piece

Each cylinder is carved from a single block of marble, so the veining you see is the stone's own history, not a printed pattern. Light travels through it before it reaches the room, arriving warm and even rather than direct. Suspended low over a table, it becomes the room's quiet centre.

Lit stone

The marble diffuses the LED into a grounded, warm vertical glow.

Open sightlines

A narrow cylinder adds presence without blocking the view across a table.

No two cylinders carry the same veining pattern through the stone.

Frequently asked

A solid marble cylinder carved as one piece, so the light glows through real stone rather than a printed or painted surface.

No — marble veining varies naturally from block to block, which means every pendant carries its own distinct pattern once lit.

An integrated LED sits inside the marble column, rated for long service life with no separate bulb to source or swap.

Yes, on request — we'll set it up to work with a compatible dimmer so you can soften the glow for evenings.

It runs on 90-260V, suitable for standard household wiring in most countries without an additional converter.

It suits kitchen islands, dining tables, and bedside walls — anywhere you want a focused, warm pool of light overhead.

A soft, grounded vertical glow — the stone diffuses the LED so the light feels ambient rather than a sharp point source.

Two finishes: black and white, so the frame can either recede or contrast against the marble depending on your room.

The LED is integrated into the fixture and built to run for years, so it's not designed as a swap-out bulb.

Yes — hang two or three in a row over a long island or table for a repeated rhythm of light and stone.
