Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

Is this fixture compatible with dimmer switches?

Dimming is available on request — specify at checkout and we'll configure it for dimmer compatibility. Standard orders ship non-dimmable unless noted.

What type of light modes does it offer?

Three modes: warm white, neutral (cool) white, and colour-adjustable. Switching between them lets you shift the mood — warm for evenings, neutral for task lighting, adjustable for flexibility.

How long do the LEDs last?

The integrated LEDs are rated for 50,000+ hours of use. At 8 hours a day, that is over 17 years before you'd expect any degradation in output — no replacements needed in that window.

Is professional installation recommended?

Yes — particularly for the larger configurations, which weigh up to 19 kg and drop to 4 m. A certified electrician should handle the ceiling mount and wiring. The adjustable wire allows fine-tuning of the drop height after installation.

Can the height be adjusted?

Yes — the wire adjusts from 1.6 m to 4 m, making it suitable for standard rooms as well as staircases, double-height entry halls, and voids. Final height is set at installation.

Does it come with a warranty?

Yes — a 1-year warranty as standard, extendable to 2, 3, or 5 years. The warranty covers manufacturing defects. Contact us after purchase to extend coverage.

The ring heads are fade-resistant acrylic; the canopy is wood; the structural elements are powder-coated metal in a gold finish. Acrylic is chosen because it holds its clarity and colour temperature consistency over time.

The integrated LED is highly efficient — it produces significant output relative to the wattage consumed, and its 50,000-hour lifespan means negligible replacement costs. The wide voltage range (90–260V) covers most international standards without a transformer.
