The Object

Lit from withinnot from a fixture

The Bieville holds a single G9 LED inside a shell of natural alabaster marble, so the glow passes through the stone rather than spilling out from a bare bulb. Each cube or globe carries its own veining — a copper base anchors it to the ceiling. The result is ambient light that feels like it belongs to the room, not imposed on it.
Why you'll love it
  • Real alabaster marble — every piece uniquely veined
  • Light diffuses through stone, never harsh or bare
  • Flush mount — sits close for low-clearance ceilings
  • Replaceable G9 LED, two shapes: cube and globe
  • Copper base in a brass finish — warm metallic accent
Details

A close-to-ceiling install for low-clearance rooms — power off, mount the bracket, match the wires, done.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — direct to a standard ceiling junction box; sits close against the ceiling
  • Dimming — most socketed models dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Ceilings — flat ceilings only; for vaulted or sloped ceilings, look at semi-flush or pendant options instead
  • Power — hardwired to your home's electrical system

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — shut it off at the breaker panel and confirm with a voltage tester.
  2. Remove the fixture cover — twist or unclip the outer shade or base cover to expose the mounting plate and wiring.
  3. Install the mounting bracket — attach it to the ceiling junction box with the supplied screws, secure and level.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the junction box.
  5. Attach the fixture base — lift into place, align with the bracket, and secure with the provided screws so it sits flush against the ceiling.
  6. Reattach the cover — twist, clip, or fasten the decorative cover or diffuser back on.
  7. Restore power and test.

Good to know

  • Great for standard or low ceilings — hallways, bedrooms, closets.
  • Confirm your junction box can support the fixture's weight.
  • Follow local electrical codes.
  • When in doubt, bring in a licensed electrician.

On the light

Warm glowheld inside the stone

Alabaster is translucent by nature. The LED sits behind the stone, not in front of it, and the veining catches the light differently at each angle. Install it once and the ceiling becomes something worth looking at.

Frequently asked

The shade is carved from real alabaster marble — a naturally translucent stone — set on a copper base with a brass finish. One G9 LED bulb is included.

The alabaster marble is a living material: each piece carries its own veining pattern, so no two lights are identical. The stone diffuses the LED into a warm, layered glow rather than a direct point of light.

Its flush mount and compact size make it ideal for hallways, bedrooms, entryways, and any space where you want warm ambient light without a hanging fixture taking up headroom.

Yes — one G9 LED bulb is included. It's also replaceable, so when the time comes you can swap it without replacing the whole fixture.

A G9 LED (5W, 500 lm). The base is standard G9, so replacements are widely available from any hardware or lighting store.

The light passes through the alabaster rather than projecting outward, creating a soft, diffused ambient glow — warm and even, with no glare or visible bulb filament.

Yes. The G9 bulb is user-replaceable. When it reaches end of life, simply remove the shade, swap the bulb, and reinstall — no tools needed for the bulb change itself.

It runs on 90–260V, covering North American, European, UK, and Australian mains voltage. No transformer or adapter required in any of those regions.

Very much so. At 12 cm across and flush to the ceiling, it works well in compact entryways, corridors, and bedrooms where a hanging pendant would feel too large or drop too low.

Just one G9 bulb, included. The alabaster shade distributes that single source into an even glow across the room — no multi-bulb array needed.
