Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

How easy is the installation process?

The Belley mounts to a standard ceiling junction box via the included canopy. Attach the crystal-and-frame assembly, connect the E14 bulbs, and hardwire to the supply. Because of the number of elements in the larger configurations, we recommend professional installation by a certified electrician.

What materials are used in this product?

Faceted crystal elements and a metal frame finished in deep red. The crystal is precision-cut to maximise the refraction effect; the metal frame provides the structural skeleton and carries the warm red colour throughout.

Is this fixture suitable for modern interiors?

The Belley reads most naturally in traditional, Art Deco, maximalist, or transitional interiors where bold colour and decorative detail are intentional. In a modern space it works best as a deliberate contrast piece — one strong statement against neutral surroundings.

Does it come with a warranty?

Yes — Nava Decor covers the Belley with a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Extended cover to two or three years is available; contact us after purchase to arrange it.

Can it be used in a dining room?

Yes — particularly the 8-light (D 72 cm) or 18-light (D 95 cm) versions, which have the scale to hold their own over a dining table. Position the base of the chandelier roughly 70–80 cm above the table surface for the best visual balance.

How long do the LEDs last?

Each included E14 LED is rated for 50,000 hours. At four hours of use per day, that is more than 34 years before any meaningful loss of output. When a bulb eventually fails, any standard E14 LED is a direct replacement.

Does it require professional installation?

Yes — the Belley is hardwired, and connecting it to mains supply should be done by a certified electrician. The physical assembly of the crystal elements is manageable, but the electrical connection is not a DIY step.

What voltage does it operate on?

90–260VAC — compatible with North American (110–120V), European (220–240V), and Australian mains supplies without any adapter or transformer.

Is it energy efficient?

Yes — LED E14 bulbs are significantly more efficient than equivalent incandescent or halogen sources. The 18-light version at 90W produces 9000 lm, a ratio that would require roughly 540W of incandescent lighting to match.
