Installation Guide

No wiring here — just careful measuring, drilling, and mounting. Mortice locks take a bit more patience than a simple knob.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — surface installation on doors, drawers, or cabinetry; check your product's dimensions for placement and drilling points

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver (Phillips and flathead), drill and drill bits, Allen key
  • Tape measure, pencil, level
  • Chisel (for mortice lock installation)
  • Screws and anchors, safety goggles

Step by step

  1. Cabinet hardware — mark drilling points — use a tape measure and pencil; a template helps for uniformity across multiple pieces.
  2. Cabinet hardware — drill holes — use a bit matched to the screw diameter, keeping the drill straight.
  3. Cabinet hardware — mount — insert screws from inside the cabinet or drawer, secure the hardware on the front face, and tighten without overtightening.
  4. Cabinet hardware — align and inspect — confirm straightness and spacing before fully securing.
  5. Thumb lock or dummy handle — confirm orientation — determine left- or right-hand door swing and adjust as needed.
  6. Thumb lock or dummy handle — mark installation height — typically 36–38 inches from the floor to the handle center; align the mounting plate.
  7. Thumb lock or dummy handle — drill and attach — drill pilot holes and secure the backplate and handle with the included screws. Dummy handles install directly, no latch mechanism.
  8. Thumb lock only — install the strike plate — mark the latch location on the door frame, chisel a recess if needed, and screw the strike plate in.
  9. Mortice lock — cut the mortice pocket — use a chisel and drill to create a cavity in the door edge, following the provided measurements.
  10. Mortice lock — insert the lock body — fit it into the cavity and attach through the faceplate with screws.
  11. Mortice lock — install the handle — align the spindle through the lock, attach handles on both sides, and tighten with a screwdriver or Allen key.
  12. Mortice lock — install the cylinder (if applicable) — insert the key cylinder and secure with the cylinder screw from the door edge.
  13. Mortice lock — mount the strike plate — align with the latch mechanism and secure to the door frame.

Good to know

  • Double-check measurements before drilling.
  • Use a level for consistent alignment across multiple units.
  • If you're unfamiliar with mortice installation, consult a locksmith or professional.
  • Make sure all moving parts operate smoothly before final tightening.
  • Dummy handles are decorative or pull-only — they don't engage latches or locks.

No two faces — quite the same

Every Beas knob gets its own slice of natural stone, so the pattern on one drawer front won't exactly match the next. Set against a smooth brass base, the contrast reads as intentional rather than random — warm metal grounding a cooler, more varied material. It's a small piece of hardware that carries real material honesty.

Innovative engineering. Intelligent design.

Frequently Asked Questions

What materials are used in the Beas Cabinet Knob?

A solid brass base topped with a face of natural stone, so a single knob carries two distinct materials — warm metal underneath, cooler mineral texture on top.

What makes the design of the Beas Cabinet Knob unique?

The pairing of warm brass with a naturally patterned stone face means each knob reads slightly differently — a small detail with real material variation built in.

Does the Beas Cabinet Knob have a modern or classic style?

It sits comfortably in both — the rounded form keeps it simple enough for modern kitchens, while the natural stone gives it warmth suited to classic interiors too.

Is the Beas Cabinet Knob comfortable to use daily?

Yes — its smooth, rounded profile feels substantial and easy to grip, holding up well to the dozens of small touches a cabinet knob gets every day.

What finish does the brass base have?

A brass finish that complements the stone face's natural tones, keeping the metal warm rather than cold or overly polished against the mineral texture above it.

Can the stone top vary in appearance?

Yes — each piece of natural stone is unique, so patterning shifts slightly from knob to knob, which is part of what makes the detail feel considered rather than mass-produced.

Where can the Beas Cabinet Knob be installed?

Kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, drawers, and bathroom vanities all suit it well — anywhere a small round detail with real material contrast can stand on its own.

Does the Beas Cabinet Knob suit luxury interiors?

Its natural stone face and solid brass build give it a considered, high-end feel that works well alongside other material-forward finishes in a refined kitchen or bath.

Is the Beas Cabinet Knob durable for long-term use?

Yes — solid brass construction is built to hold up to years of daily use, and the stone face is set securely so it won't loosen or wear with handling.

Why will I love the Beas Cabinet Knob?

It brings a genuine material contrast — brass and stone — to a detail most hardware treats as an afterthought, adding character to cabinetry most people walk past every day.
