Installation Guide

No wiring here — just careful measuring, drilling, and mounting. Mortice locks take a bit more patience than a simple knob.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — surface installation on doors, drawers, or cabinetry; check your product's dimensions for placement and drilling points

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver (Phillips and flathead), drill and drill bits, Allen key
  • Tape measure, pencil, level
  • Chisel (for mortice lock installation)
  • Screws and anchors, safety goggles

Step by step

  1. Cabinet hardware — mark drilling points — use a tape measure and pencil; a template helps for uniformity across multiple pieces.
  2. Cabinet hardware — drill holes — use a bit matched to the screw diameter, keeping the drill straight.
  3. Cabinet hardware — mount — insert screws from inside the cabinet or drawer, secure the hardware on the front face, and tighten without overtightening.
  4. Cabinet hardware — align and inspect — confirm straightness and spacing before fully securing.
  5. Thumb lock or dummy handle — confirm orientation — determine left- or right-hand door swing and adjust as needed.
  6. Thumb lock or dummy handle — mark installation height — typically 36–38 inches from the floor to the handle center; align the mounting plate.
  7. Thumb lock or dummy handle — drill and attach — drill pilot holes and secure the backplate and handle with the included screws. Dummy handles install directly, no latch mechanism.
  8. Thumb lock only — install the strike plate — mark the latch location on the door frame, chisel a recess if needed, and screw the strike plate in.
  9. Mortice lock — cut the mortice pocket — use a chisel and drill to create a cavity in the door edge, following the provided measurements.
  10. Mortice lock — insert the lock body — fit it into the cavity and attach through the faceplate with screws.
  11. Mortice lock — install the handle — align the spindle through the lock, attach handles on both sides, and tighten with a screwdriver or Allen key.
  12. Mortice lock — install the cylinder (if applicable) — insert the key cylinder and secure with the cylinder screw from the door edge.
  13. Mortice lock — mount the strike plate — align with the latch mechanism and secure to the door frame.

Good to know

  • Double-check measurements before drilling.
  • Use a level for consistent alignment across multiple units.
  • If you're unfamiliar with mortice installation, consult a locksmith or professional.
  • Make sure all moving parts operate smoothly before final tightening.
  • Dummy handles are decorative or pull-only — they don't engage latches or locks.

Two materials — one line of contrast

The brass sections bracket a central wooden grip, so the hand meets warm wood before it meets cool metal. That contrast is deliberate — structure from the brass, comfort from the wood. Set in a row across cabinetry, the pairing reads as a quiet, coordinated detail rather than two materials competing.

Innovative engineering. Intelligent design.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Aroche Cabinet Pull made of?

Solid brass paired with a natural wood grip section, so the metal handles the structure while the wood carries the warmth and comfort of daily contact.

What design style does this Knob & Pull Bar follow?

A refined, architectural line — modern in its clean cylindrical form, but warmed considerably by the wood detail running through the centre of the grip.

Where can the Aroche Cabinet Pull be installed?

Kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, wardrobes, and built-in furniture all suit it well — anywhere a warm, tactile detail improves on plain metal hardware.

What spaces is this hardware ideal for?

Any cabinetry that benefits from a warm, tactile detail — kitchens and wardrobes especially, where the hardware gets touched dozens of times throughout the day.

Does this product include both knobs and pull bars?

Yes — a matching T-knob and two pull bar lengths are available, so smaller drawers and larger cabinet fronts can share the same coordinated design.

What grip shape does the pull bar have?

A slim cylindrical bar with a smooth wooden midsection, shaped for a comfortable four-finger hold that stays warm rather than cold to the touch.

What finish options are available for this product?

Vintage brass, chrome, and natural wood — each finish shifts the tone of the metal sections while the wood grip stays consistent across all three.

How does the material combination affect usability?

The wooden grip adds warmth and traction, so the piece feels comfortable even with repeated daily use, unlike an all-metal pull that can feel cold or slippery.

Is the design suitable for modern interiors?

Yes — the clean cylindrical form and material contrast sit well in modern and transitional kitchens alike, without leaning too far into either style.

What makes this Knob & Pull Bar visually distinctive?

The pairing of brass and wood in one slim form, rather than a single material carried through the whole piece, gives it a layered look most hardware skips.
