The Object

Small stonelit from the inside out

The Wool Pendant Light is compact enough to cluster or hang alone — a rounded alabaster shade at 18 cm across that diffuses the E27 bulb into a warm, even wash. The stone itself carries the light; what you see is a soft glow rather than a bright source. Metal frame in white, cord adjusts to 1.2 m, sloped-ceiling compatible.
Why you'll love it
  • Real alabaster shade — warm, diffused glow through natural stone
  • Compact at 18 cm across — versatile as a single or a cluster
  • Metal frame in white — clean and unobtrusive
  • Replaceable E27 LED included — standard bulb, easy to find
  • Adjustable cord to 1.2 m, sloped-ceiling compatible
Details

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

On the stone

Alabasterthe shade that glows

The Wool uses a real alabaster shade — not a look-alike. When lit, the stone warms from within, its subtle veining catching the light. At 18 x 17.6 cm, it's small enough to hang over a bedside table or cluster three above a dining table for layered warmth.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
What makes the Wool more than a small pendant.
Real stone glow

The alabaster shade transmits warmth through the stone — soft, diffused, and naturally varied.

Compact size

At 18 cm across, the Wool works alone or clustered — adaptable to the space.

Adjustable cord

Frequently asked

Yes — it's ceiling-mounted with an adjustable cord. All hardware is included; installation by a certified electrician is recommended since the Wool is hardwired.

Real alabaster marble for the shade, with a slim metal frame in white. The alabaster is the defining feature — it transmits light rather than just diffusing it.

Alabaster transmits warmth rather than reflecting it — the shade itself glows, casting a soft, layered light that feels organic and calm rather than bright and direct.

Yes — bedrooms, hallways, dining areas, and living rooms all work well. The compact size (18 cm across) means it works as a bedside accent or can be clustered for more substantial lighting.

Yes — the clean metal frame and natural alabaster shade suit contemporary, Scandinavian, and minimalist interiors without competing with other materials in the room.

The use of real alabaster in a small-format pendant is rare. Most alabaster fixtures are large or expensive; the Wool brings the same material quality into an accessible, everyday piece.

The metal frame is solid and built to hold the alabaster shade securely. It is not decorative — it's a structural part of the pendant, rated for the weight of the stone.

When lit, yes — the warm glow through the stone draws the eye. Unlit, the white alabaster and clean frame read as quiet and considered rather than demanding attention.

Yes — installation guidance is included in the packaging. For a hardwired pendant, a certified electrician will have everything they need from the included documentation.

The Wool is suited to any home where natural materials are valued — historic or contemporary. The alabaster shade pairs well with period cornicing and plasterwork as much as with bare concrete or whitewashed walls.
