The Object

Aimednot just pointed at the floor

The Vosne Downlight recesses flush into the ceiling and then moves — 90° of tilt, a full 360° of rotation — so you can direct it at a shelf, a painting, a reading chair, or a work surface without adjusting a single pendant wire. Die-cast aluminium with a PMMA lens, in black or white, five wattages from 7W to 20W. Optional dimming, standard junction box.
Why you'll love it
  • 90° tilt and 360° rotation — aim it after installation
  • Flush recessed profile — disappears into the ceiling
  • Five wattages: 7W to 20W for any room or task
  • Die-cast aluminium with PMMA lens — built to last
  • Two finishes: black or white to match any ceiling
Details

The install depends on your mount type — trimless, recessed, semi-recessed, surface, or track — so confirm which one you have before you start.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — trimless, recessed, semi-recessed, surface-mounted, or track-mounted; confirm the type in your product listing
  • Ceilings — most models suit drywall; some also work with concrete or drop ceilings, check the technical documentation
  • Dimming — many designs dim when paired with compatible drivers and wall dimmers
  • Power — hardwired, connects directly to a ceiling electrical junction
  • Trimless — may need professional finishing or flush-mount drywall work
  • Track — installs onto a compatible rail system; check your product's specification for track type

What you'll need

  • Drill, keyhole or drywall saw (for recessed or trimless)
  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included with most fixtures), screws and wall anchors (for surface mounting)
  • Level, measuring tape or pencil

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — at the breaker panel, and confirm with a voltage tester.
  2. Prepare the ceiling opening (recessed and trimless only) — mark your opening with the provided template and cut carefully with a drywall saw or hole cutter. Trimless models need deeper space and extra setup for a seamless finish.
  3. Install the mounting hardware or fixture housing — recessed and trimless designs insert into the ceiling cavity and secure with spring clips or fasteners (trimless may need joist framing); semi-recessed fixtures partially install per the included instructions; surface-mounted downlights attach directly with screws and wall anchors; track fixtures need a compatible track system first, then lock into place.
  4. Connect the wiring — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck neatly back into the housing or box.
  5. Final assembly — trimless fixtures get mudded and feathered into the ceiling plane before painting; recessed, semi-recessed, and surface fixtures finish by twisting or snapping the trim or body into place; track lights get positioned and rotated along the rail after locking in.
  6. Restore power and test — use the wall switch or dimmer to verify proper operation.

Good to know

  • Professional installation is recommended for trimless or recessed downlights, especially with mudding or insulation involved.
  • Follow local electrical codes and regulations.
  • Use only compatible drivers and dimmers for your fixture.
  • Keep safe spacing from insulation in ceiling cavities to prevent overheating.

How it works

Tilt and rotateafter it's in the ceiling

Standard recessed lights point straight down and stay there. The Vosne tilts to 90° and rotates a full circle, so you can redirect the beam once it's installed — no tools, no rewiring. This makes it equally effective as ambient fill or as a focused accent over artwork or a display shelf.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
Three things that set the Vosne apart from a standard downlight.
Full movement

Tilt to 90° and rotate 360° — reposition the beam any time without touching the wiring.

Flush profile

The low-profile recessed body sits level with the ceiling — clean, architectural, invisible.

Five powers

Choose 7W for accent work or 20W for task and ambient lighting in larger rooms.

Frequently asked

The Vosne tilts 90° and rotates 360° after installation — most recessed lights are fixed downward. This lets you use the Vosne as ambient fill or redirect it to accent artwork, shelving, or a reading chair.

Dimming is available as an option — specify when ordering and we'll configure the Vosne for your dimmer setup. The base fixture is not dimmable by default.

Die-cast aluminium body with a PMMA (acrylic) lens. The combination is lightweight, durable, and gives clean light output without yellowing or degrading over time.

90–260V — compatible with electrical standards worldwide. No transformer or adapter is needed for most residential installations.

The Vosne uses a single integrated LED per fixture. No separate bulb is needed — the LED module is built in and rated for many thousands of hours of use.

The Vosne suits residential, retail, and hospitality spaces — living rooms, kitchens, galleries, and corridors. It's an indoor fixture; confirm your ceiling type before ordering.

Black and white — choose the one that blends with your ceiling. Both finishes are flush to the surface and minimally visible once installed.

Yes — tilt and rotation are the Vosne's core feature. You can repoint the beam freely after installation without any tools or rewiring.

No — the Vosne has an integrated LED. There are no bulbs to buy or replace. If the LED ever fails outside warranty, contact us for service options.

Yes — integrated LEDs at 7–20W deliver strong lumen output for very low running costs. At 7W producing 770lm, the Vosne is well above the efficiency of any equivalent halogen.
