One press holds—the clasp does the rest
The rotating clasp locks with one press and releases with a second — no wedges.
Dense, corrosion-resistant alloy — heavier and more durable than plastic alternatives.
Stops the door before it reaches the wall — no marks, no plaster damage.
High-grade zinc alloy throughout — body, clasp, and base. Zinc alloy is denser than plastic, resists corrosion, and holds its finish far longer under daily foot-traffic conditions.
A precision rotating clasp inside the body engages when the door presses down on the Vire. One press locks it; a second press releases it. The clasp is fully mechanical — no magnets or rubber wedges.
Yes — the wide circular base is stable on hardwood, tile, stone, and concrete. It is designed for interior use; avoid outdoor or damp-area placement as moisture can affect the clasp over time.
It floor-mounts with a single screw into the base. Mark the position with the door open at your desired angle, drill a pilot hole, and secure the base. The job takes under ten minutes with basic tools.
No — the Vire holds the door open before it reaches the wall, protecting paintwork and plaster. The zinc base has a smooth underside and the included floor fixings are small enough not to damage most floor finishes.
Any interior doorway — residential or commercial. It suits kitchens, hallways, bathrooms, and offices. Its compact profile and clean finish mean it reads as part of the floor hardware rather than a utility item.
Yes — the zinc alloy body and rotating clasp are engineered for sustained load. It handles solid-core wood, steel-core, and composite interior doors without the clasp slipping or the base shifting.
Yes — zinc alloy resists corrosion at the material level, and the lacquer coat over the finish adds an additional barrier. The black, silver, and gold options all hold their tone under normal indoor conditions.
Very little — wipe with a dry cloth periodically. If the clasp feels stiff after extended use, a small drop of silicone lubricant on the mechanism restores smooth action. No regular servicing needed.
It is designed and rated for interior use only. Sustained exposure to rain or direct sun can affect the clasp mechanism and finish. For outdoor doorways, a floor-mounted bolt or heavier-duty stopper is more appropriate. Nava ships free worldwide with a 1-year warranty.
