The Object

Curvedand hollow where it matters

The Vinger Pull Bar is machined from zinc alloy and shaped into a continuous curve with hollowed cutouts that reduce visual weight without sacrificing the grip surface. The smooth finish runs uninterrupted from end to end — no seams, no sharp transitions. Four finishes span gold, grey, nickel, and black; two sizes fit standard drawer and cabinet-door centre-to-centre spacings.
Why you'll love it
  • Flowing curves with hollowed accents — minimal visual weight
  • Zinc alloy body — durable, resists daily wear and moisture
  • Smooth continuous finish — no seams or surface transitions
  • Four finishes: gold, grey, nickel, black
  • Two sizes — 18 cm and 34 cm for different furniture scales
Details

No wiring here — just careful measuring, drilling, and mounting. Mortice locks take a bit more patience than a simple knob.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — surface installation on doors, drawers, or cabinetry; check your product's dimensions for placement and drilling points

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver (Phillips and flathead), drill and drill bits, Allen key
  • Tape measure, pencil, level
  • Chisel (for mortice lock installation)
  • Screws and anchors, safety goggles

Step by step

  1. Cabinet hardware — mark drilling points — use a tape measure and pencil; a template helps for uniformity across multiple pieces.
  2. Cabinet hardware — drill holes — use a bit matched to the screw diameter, keeping the drill straight.
  3. Cabinet hardware — mount — insert screws from inside the cabinet or drawer, secure the hardware on the front face, and tighten without overtightening.
  4. Cabinet hardware — align and inspect — confirm straightness and spacing before fully securing.
  5. Thumb lock or dummy handle — confirm orientation — determine left- or right-hand door swing and adjust as needed.
  6. Thumb lock or dummy handle — mark installation height — typically 36–38 inches from the floor to the handle center; align the mounting plate.
  7. Thumb lock or dummy handle — drill and attach — drill pilot holes and secure the backplate and handle with the included screws. Dummy handles install directly, no latch mechanism.
  8. Thumb lock only — install the strike plate — mark the latch location on the door frame, chisel a recess if needed, and screw the strike plate in.
  9. Mortice lock — cut the mortice pocket — use a chisel and drill to create a cavity in the door edge, following the provided measurements.
  10. Mortice lock — insert the lock body — fit it into the cavity and attach through the faceplate with screws.
  11. Mortice lock — install the handle — align the spindle through the lock, attach handles on both sides, and tighten with a screwdriver or Allen key.
  12. Mortice lock — install the cylinder (if applicable) — insert the key cylinder and secure with the cylinder screw from the door edge.
  13. Mortice lock — mount the strike plate — align with the latch mechanism and secure to the door frame.

Good to know

  • Double-check measurements before drilling.
  • Use a level for consistent alignment across multiple units.
  • If you're unfamiliar with mortice installation, consult a locksmith or professional.
  • Make sure all moving parts operate smoothly before final tightening.
  • Dummy handles are decorative or pull-only — they don't engage latches or locks.

The making

Machined to curvehollowed for lightness

The Vinger starts as a zinc alloy blank and is shaped on a CNC machine to achieve its flowing profile and hollowed cutouts in a single process — which means the curves are exact and repeatable across every unit. The smooth finish is applied after machining, so it sits uniformly on the shaped surface rather than pooling at edges or thinning at the curves.

Frequently asked

Zinc alloy — chosen for its combination of durability, resistance to moisture and daily wear, and its ability to hold a smooth, consistent surface finish across the shaped profile.

The flowing curves and hollowed cutouts — the hollows reduce visual bulk while keeping the grip area substantial and comfortable. The result reads as a considered hardware detail rather than a functional afterthought.

Cabinets, drawers, and wardrobes in kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms, and bedrooms. The zinc alloy is moisture-resistant, so kitchen and bathroom environments are fine for daily use.

Contemporary and transitional interiors — the curved form has movement and warmth, while the smooth finish and geometric hollows keep it restrained. Works with both flat-front and shaker-style cabinet doors.

Yes — the smooth finish is applied over a shaped zinc-alloy body and is resistant to fingerprints, minor abrasion, and the moisture typical of kitchen and bathroom environments.

Yes — standard two-bolt mounting. Drill to the marked hole centres (9.6 cm or 12.8 cm depending on size), insert the included bolts from inside the drawer or door, and tighten. A basic drill and screwdriver are all you need.

Yes — zinc alloy is a proven material for high-cycle hardware. The Vinger's body has no weak joints or cast seams that could crack under repeated pulling, making it suitable for frequently-opened cabinet doors and drawers.

Gold, grey, nickel, and black — four options that span warm metallic (gold), neutral-cool (grey, nickel), and a true matte contrast (black). All four are available in both sizes.

Yes — the zinc alloy body and finish are both moisture-resistant, so the Vinger handles the humidity and splash exposure typical of kitchen and bathroom cabinetry without corroding or fading.

Two sizes: 18 cm (9.6 cm hole spacing) and 34 cm (12.8 cm hole spacing). The shorter bar suits smaller drawer fronts and upper cabinet doors; the longer bar works on wider drawers and pantry doors. Ships free worldwide in 15–21 business days; 1-year warranty, 14-day returns.
