Alabasterstacked into a column of light

The Veluwe is built for vertical space: alabaster marble rings stacked on copper straps, each one glowing as the light passes through the stone rather than off it. Designed for staircases and double-height entries, it scales from a single ring at 100 cm tall to an 18-ring configuration at 250 cm — a fixture that fills the full height of a void. The rings glow like a series of halos, the stone diffusing the E14 LED into a warm, luminous band at each level.
Why you'll love it
  • Alabaster rings glow from within — warm, diffused light at every level
  • Designed for staircases and double-height entries
  • 1 to 18 rings — configure to your exact ceiling height
  • Natural alabaster — each ring carries its own veining
  • Copper strap structure — warm, unobtrusive framing
Details

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

On the light

Alabaster ringseach one its own halo

Alabaster's translucence means the E14 LED isn't visible inside the ring — the light travels through the stone and exits as a diffused, warm band along the outer surface. Stacked vertically on copper straps, the rings create a column that reads at full height from across a stairwell: each ring independently glowing, the combined effect a continuous descent of light.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
Halo glow

Light passes through the alabaster and exits as a warm band around each ring — no visible bulb.

Staircase scale

From 1 to 18 rings — fit the Veluwe to the exact height of your stairwell or double-height void.

Natural stone

Each alabaster ring carries its own veining — no two configurations look identical once assembled.

Frequently asked

Yes — the Veluwe's alabaster rings and warm copper structure complement period architecture as naturally as contemporary interiors. The stone's warmth and translucence read as material-led rather than trend-driven.

The Veluwe mounts to a ceiling junction box and hardwires to mains. For configurations over 5 rings, we recommend professional installation by a certified electrician — the fixture is substantial and requires careful ceiling anchoring.

Yes — all mounting hardware ships with the Veluwe, including the ceiling canopy and copper strap assembly. The E14 LED bulbs are also included, one per ring.

Alabaster is translucent — light passes through the stone rather than bouncing off it, resulting in a warm, diffused glow around each ring rather than a bare bulb visible inside. The effect is soft and layered, not harsh.

Yes — the Veluwe uses E14 LED bulbs, far more efficient than halogen or incandescent equivalents. Even the 18-ring configuration at 180W delivers 18,000 lm of light from LEDs designed to last tens of thousands of hours.

The Veluwe installs to a standard flush ceiling junction box. Sloped ceiling compatibility is available on request — mention your ceiling pitch and void dimensions when you order and we'll advise on the configuration.

Nava Decor offers a 14-day return window from the date of delivery. The Veluwe must be returned in its original, uninstalled condition and packaging. Contact us and we'll organise the return process.

The Veluwe is built from alabaster marble and copper — both materials that last decades under normal indoor conditions. Alabaster is more fragile than stone like granite, so handle each ring carefully during installation and avoid impact.

The Veluwe carries Nava Decor's 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects, extendable to 2, 3, or 5 years on request. Contact us at checkout to add extended warranty coverage.

Yes — we recommend professional installation by a certified electrician for all configurations, particularly those with 5 or more rings. The fixture is substantial and the electrical connection requires mains hardwiring.
