The Object

Lit from belowa strip that disappears

The Treis runs a slim aluminium bar across the ceiling in a wood-grain finish, log or walnut. The acrylic diffuser spreads the light evenly — no patches, no glare — so the room feels settled rather than lit. Switch between warm, cool, or remote-adjustable CCT on the same fixture. Two lengths to match the space.
Why you'll love it
  • Wood-grain finish in log or walnut — warm against the ceiling
  • Even, glare-free light through an acrylic diffuser
  • Three colour modes: warm, cool, or remote-adjustable CCT
  • Two lengths — 60 cm and 100 cm — for kitchens to hallways
  • Integrated LED, hardwired, dimmable on request
Details

A close-to-ceiling install for low-clearance rooms — power off, mount the bracket, match the wires, done.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — direct to a standard ceiling junction box; sits close against the ceiling
  • Dimming — most socketed models dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Ceilings — flat ceilings only; for vaulted or sloped ceilings, look at semi-flush or pendant options instead
  • Power — hardwired to your home's electrical system

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — shut it off at the breaker panel and confirm with a voltage tester.
  2. Remove the fixture cover — twist or unclip the outer shade or base cover to expose the mounting plate and wiring.
  3. Install the mounting bracket — attach it to the ceiling junction box with the supplied screws, secure and level.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the junction box.
  5. Attach the fixture base — lift into place, align with the bracket, and secure with the provided screws so it sits flush against the ceiling.
  6. Reattach the cover — twist, clip, or fasten the decorative cover or diffuser back on.
  7. Restore power and test.

Good to know

  • Great for standard or low ceilings — hallways, bedrooms, closets.
  • Confirm your junction box can support the fixture's weight.
  • Follow local electrical codes.
  • When in doubt, bring in a licensed electrician.

The finish

Aluminium bodyclad in warm wood grain

The Treis wraps aluminium in a baked wood-grain finish — log or walnut — so the bar reads warm rather than industrial. The acrylic diffuser beneath it hides the LED completely, leaving only a soft, continuous wash of light. The result is a ceiling strip that recedes into the room rather than drawing the eye.

Frequently asked

The Treis is built from durable aluminium with a baked wood-grain finish — log or walnut — and an acrylic diffuser that softens the light. The frame is built to resist scratches and everyday wear.

Yes. The slim strip profile and even light distribution make the Treis well-suited to kitchens, hallways, living rooms, and dining rooms — anywhere you want clean, unobtrusive overhead light.

The wood-grain finish — log or walnut — brings warmth to a ceiling fixture that would otherwise read as purely industrial. It sits naturally alongside timber furniture and neutral-toned interiors without competing.

The Treis comes in two wood finishes: log and walnut. Both pair well with a wide range of interior palettes, from light Scandinavian to deep, earthy tones.

The Treis uses an integrated LED panel behind an acrylic diffuser — energy-efficient, long-lasting, and producing a soft, even wash of light without visible hotspots or bulb shadows.

Very. Integrated LED uses a fraction of the power of traditional ceiling fixtures, runs cool, and has a long operating life — reducing both energy bills and replacement costs over time.

The Treis hardwires directly to your ceiling junction box and is sloped-ceiling compatible. We recommend a certified electrician for installation, which is typically a straightforward one-visit job.

Yes. The acrylic diffuser spreads light evenly across the full length of the strip, eliminating the hotspots and shadows common in fixtures without diffusion. The result is a calm, consistent wash.

Yes. The Treis is available in three colour modes — warm white (3000K), cool white (6000K), and a trichromatic version. The remote-controlled option lets you dial between 3000K and 6000K continuously.

Dimming is available on request. Let us know when ordering and we'll configure the fixture accordingly. Free worldwide shipping; delivery typically 15–21 business days. One-year warranty included.
