Flush to the edgethe handle you barely see

The Toftir Pull Bar mounts along the edge of a cabinet or drawer front rather than on its face, so the hardware stays out of the way visually while remaining easy to grip in use. Solid brass in a single natural finish — warm, resistant to tarnish, and developing a gentle patina at the touch points over time. Five lengths from 8.4 cm to 21.2 cm to fit the drawer or door.
Why you'll love it
  • Edge-mounted — sits flush, keeps cabinet faces clean
  • Solid brass, naturally tarnish-resistant
  • Five lengths from 8.4 cm to 21.2 cm
  • Smooth grip, comfortable in daily use
  • Suits kitchens, bathrooms, wardrobes, and millwork
Details

No wiring here — just careful measuring, drilling, and mounting. Mortice locks take a bit more patience than a simple knob.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — surface installation on doors, drawers, or cabinetry; check your product's dimensions for placement and drilling points

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver (Phillips and flathead), drill and drill bits, Allen key
  • Tape measure, pencil, level
  • Chisel (for mortice lock installation)
  • Screws and anchors, safety goggles

Step by step

  1. Cabinet hardware — mark drilling points — use a tape measure and pencil; a template helps for uniformity across multiple pieces.
  2. Cabinet hardware — drill holes — use a bit matched to the screw diameter, keeping the drill straight.
  3. Cabinet hardware — mount — insert screws from inside the cabinet or drawer, secure the hardware on the front face, and tighten without overtightening.
  4. Cabinet hardware — align and inspect — confirm straightness and spacing before fully securing.
  5. Thumb lock or dummy handle — confirm orientation — determine left- or right-hand door swing and adjust as needed.
  6. Thumb lock or dummy handle — mark installation height — typically 36–38 inches from the floor to the handle center; align the mounting plate.
  7. Thumb lock or dummy handle — drill and attach — drill pilot holes and secure the backplate and handle with the included screws. Dummy handles install directly, no latch mechanism.
  8. Thumb lock only — install the strike plate — mark the latch location on the door frame, chisel a recess if needed, and screw the strike plate in.
  9. Mortice lock — cut the mortice pocket — use a chisel and drill to create a cavity in the door edge, following the provided measurements.
  10. Mortice lock — insert the lock body — fit it into the cavity and attach through the faceplate with screws.
  11. Mortice lock — install the handle — align the spindle through the lock, attach handles on both sides, and tighten with a screwdriver or Allen key.
  12. Mortice lock — install the cylinder (if applicable) — insert the key cylinder and secure with the cylinder screw from the door edge.
  13. Mortice lock — mount the strike plate — align with the latch mechanism and secure to the door frame.

Good to know

  • Double-check measurements before drilling.
  • Use a level for consistent alignment across multiple units.
  • If you're unfamiliar with mortice installation, consult a locksmith or professional.
  • Make sure all moving parts operate smoothly before final tightening.
  • Dummy handles are decorative or pull-only — they don't engage latches or locks.

On the detail

Edge-mountedthe hardware that stays out of sight

Edge pulls work because they remove the visual interruption of a face-mounted handle — the cabinet front reads as a clean plane. The Toftir Pull Bar's solid brass form sits at the drawer or door edge, so the grip is there when you need it and absent visually when you don't. The brass develops character at the touch points over time.

Clean face

Edge mounting keeps the cabinet front uninterrupted — no hardware breaking the plane.

Solid brass

Tarnish-resistant and built for daily use — develops a natural patina at touch points over time.

Frequently asked

The Toftir Pull Bar ships free worldwide. Delivery typically takes 15–21 business days from dispatch. You'll receive tracking once your order ships.

Please confirm with our team at time of order — standard cabinet pull hardware requirements vary by door thickness and substrate. The Toftir Pull Bar is edge-mounted rather than face-mounted, which may require specific fastener lengths.

Solid brass is naturally resistant to corrosion and tarnish, which makes the Toftir Pull Bar well-suited for kitchens and bathrooms where humidity is present. The brass surface holds up to daily handling and develops a warm patina at touch points over time rather than degrading.

The Toftir Pull Bar's slim, smooth profile sits at the edge of the cabinet front, giving a comfortable finger-pull grip without requiring a prominent protruding handle. For heavy drawers, the longer lengths (18 cm, 21.2 cm) provide more contact area.

Yes — solid brass is inherently tarnish-resistant. The Toftir Pull Bar may develop a warm, slight darkening at high-touch areas over time, which is a natural characteristic of unlacquered brass rather than a defect.

Edge pulls remove the visual break that face-mounted handles create on cabinet fronts. The Toftir Pull Bar lets the cabinet material — wood grain, painted surface, stone veneer — read without interruption, which suits minimalist kitchens and contemporary cabinetry particularly well.

The Toftir Pull Bar's clean, minimal form reads as contemporary rather than period. For historical homes where period hardware is important, a more traditional face-mounted pull in brass may suit better. Contact our team for recommendations.

The Toftir Pull Bar is covered by a 14-day return window from delivery. Returns must be in original condition. The Toftir Pull Bar also carries a 1-year warranty, extendable to 2, 3, or 5 years.

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or acidic solutions. If the brass develops a patina you prefer to slow, a light application of brass wax will help maintain the original tone. For a more aged look, leave the Toftir Pull Bar to develop naturally with use.

The Toftir Pull Bar is solid brass rather than brass-plated — a meaningful difference in weight, durability, and how the finish ages. Most mass-market edge pulls are zinc alloy with a thin brass coat that wears through. The Toftir Pull Bar stays brass through to the core.
