Patinaearned on real brass

The Brantome Brass Plate (The with Patina) is cut from solid brass and individually treated — each one hand-finished so the surface carries its own depth of tone, from soft highlights to deep aged warmth. It fits most standard electrical modules and comes in 1 to 5 gang layouts, so you can run a consistent finish across different walls without compromise. The plate only; your modules sit behind it.
Why you'll love it

  • Fits most standard electrical modules for a cohesive design finish
  • Available in 1 to 5 gang configurations for different wall layouts

  • Durable brass resists everyday wear — maintains its character over time
Details

A quick face-lift, not a rewire — you're only swapping the cover plate, but we still have you flip the breaker as a precaution.

What's included

One solid brass wall plate. No electrical components included.

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — at your circuit breaker, even though you're only replacing the plate.
  2. Remove the existing plate — loosen and remove the screws, then lift it away from the wall.
  3. Inspect the underlying devices — confirm your dimmers, toggles, outlets, or other modules are secure and undamaged.
  4. Position the brass plate — align it over the existing devices so all openings fit cleanly around the controls.
  5. Insert the screws — use the included matching brass screws, threading gently to avoid stripping the holes.
  6. Don't overtighten — snug against the wall is enough; overtightening can damage the brass or the wall surface.
  7. Check the fit — the plate should sit flush, with all device cutouts aligned for easy access.
  8. Restore power — once everything is secure and properly positioned.
  9. Final polish — wipe the brass gently with a soft cloth to remove fingerprints or dust.

The finish

The patinaeach plate its own

The Brantome Brass Plate's patina is applied individually to each piece — a treatment that means no two plates are identical in tone. Some carry lighter warm highlights; others sit deeper into aged bronze. The variation is the point: it reads as something that's been there a while, even on the day it arrives. Solid brass underneath means the character only deepens with time.

Frequently asked

It's a decorative wall plate cut from solid brass and individually finished with a bronze patina — designed to fit over most standard electrical modules and bring a refined, aged character to switches and sockets.

Each plate is individually treated — so the surface tone varies subtly from piece to piece, ranging from warm highlights to deeper aged tones. No two plates look exactly the same, which is intentional.

Yes — 100% brass. It's not plated steel or a composite material. Solid brass means the plate resists everyday wear and develops further character over years of use rather than fading or chipping.

The Brantome Brass Plate (The with Patina) comes in 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 gang configurations — covering single switches through to five-module wall panels.

No — the Brantome Brass Plate is the decorative cover plate only. Your choice of electrical modules (switches, sockets, dimmers) fit behind the plate and are sourced separately.

Yes — it's designed to fit most standard electrical modules, giving you flexibility to choose the switches and sockets that match your electrical specification and local standard.

The plate fits to standard wall-box mounting points — the process is the same as replacing any standard cover plate. Turn off power, fit the modules into the back box, and secure the brass plate over the top.

No — and that's deliberate. The individual patina treatment means each plate carries its own tone depth. If you're ordering multiple plates, they'll share the same warm bronze character but with subtle variation between them.

Yes. Brass is a robust material for hardware — it holds up to everyday contact, doesn't chip or flake, and resists tarnishing better than unfinished metals. The patina deepens with use rather than degrading.

It suits classic, transitional, and design-led interiors equally well — hallways, living rooms, kitchens, and studies where the wall hardware is part of the overall design rather than just functional.
