The Object

Spheres in descentlit from a single stem

The Thasos arranges glass spheres asymmetrically along a central iron stem, so the whole fixture reads as movement caught in suspension. Six, seven, or ten heads cascade from 61 cm to 107 cm below the ceiling — enough drop for stairwells, double-height entries, and dining rooms with generous clearance. Each G9 LED is replaceable, dimmable on request, in black or white.
Why you'll love it
  • Asymmetric sphere arrangement — reads as sculpture, not a row of lights
  • Three heights — 61 cm, 84 cm, or 107 cm for the right drop
  • Glass spheres diffuse the G9 LED into a soft, even glow
  • Iron frame in black or white — suits contemporary and transitional interiors
  • Replaceable G9 LEDs · dimmable on request
Details

A close-to-ceiling install for low-clearance rooms — power off, mount the bracket, match the wires, done.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — direct to a standard ceiling junction box; sits close against the ceiling
  • Dimming — most socketed models dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Ceilings — flat ceilings only; for vaulted or sloped ceilings, look at semi-flush or pendant options instead
  • Power — hardwired to your home's electrical system

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — shut it off at the breaker panel and confirm with a voltage tester.
  2. Remove the fixture cover — twist or unclip the outer shade or base cover to expose the mounting plate and wiring.
  3. Install the mounting bracket — attach it to the ceiling junction box with the supplied screws, secure and level.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the junction box.
  5. Attach the fixture base — lift into place, align with the bracket, and secure with the provided screws so it sits flush against the ceiling.
  6. Reattach the cover — twist, clip, or fasten the decorative cover or diffuser back on.
  7. Restore power and test.

Good to know

  • Great for standard or low ceilings — hallways, bedrooms, closets.
  • Confirm your junction box can support the fixture's weight.
  • Follow local electrical codes.
  • When in doubt, bring in a licensed electrician.

How it works

Glass sphereseach one placed, not repeated

The asymmetric layout is the design's defining decision. Rather than spacing the spheres evenly like a linear fixture, the Thasos staggers them — each head at a slightly different height along the iron stem. The result is a fixture that looks alive even when switched off.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
Sculptural drop

Asymmetric sphere placement gives the Thasos visual rhythm — it reads differently from every angle.

Three sizes

Six, seven, or ten heads — scaled for compact dining rooms up to double-height stairwells.

Replaceable bulbs

Each sphere takes a standard G9 LED — easy to swap without specialist tools or service.

Frequently asked

The Thasos uses G9 LED bulbs — replaceable, included with the fixture. When a bulb eventually needs changing, a standard G9 LED from any hardware store is the direct replacement.

Yes, on request. Specify dimming when ordering and the Thasos is configured to pair with a standard wall dimmer, letting you set the intensity from full brightness to a soft accent glow.

Iron for the stem and frame, glass for the spherical shades. The iron is finished in black or white; the glass diffuses the G9 LED into a soft, even glow from each head.

Up to 10 bulbs — the fixture comes in 6-head, 7-head, and 10-head configurations. All three use replaceable G9 LEDs, included in the box.

90–260V — compatible with electrical standards across North America, Europe, Australia, and the UK without any adaptor or converter.

Three options: 6 heads at H 61 cm, 7 heads at H 84 cm, and 10 heads at H 107 cm — all 30 cm in diameter. Choose by ceiling height and the visual weight you want overhead.

Black and white — both on an iron frame. Black reads graphic and contemporary; white is softer and suits brighter, more neutral interiors.

High-ceiling spaces: stairwells, double-height entries, dining rooms, and contemporary entryways. The longest configuration hangs 107 cm below the ceiling and needs at least 2.5 m of clearance.

We recommend installation by a certified electrician. The Thasos hardwires to a standard ceiling junction box via a 30 cm canopy — a straightforward job for a qualified installer.

The smallest configuration hangs 61 cm below the ceiling, so a minimum 2.5 m ceiling is needed for comfortable clearance. For ceilings below that, the Thasos is not the right fit.
