The Thaon Handle is machined from solid brass throughout — no plastic components. The weight and rigidity of solid brass make it noticeably different to handle than hollow or composite alternatives.
The Thaon Handle comes in five finishes: brass, antique brass, black, silver, and nickel. Choose based on the dominant metal tone in the room — warm (brass, antique brass) or cool-neutral (silver, nickel, black).
The Thaon Handle is available with an inside lock and emergency access — the standard configuration for bedrooms and bathrooms. Passage (no lock) and dummy (non-functional, for aesthetic use) configurations are also available.
The Thaon Handle is designed for interior doors — bedrooms, bathrooms, home offices, and passageways. It is suitable for exterior use only when fitted with a mortice lock and appropriate weatherproofing.
The inside lock uses a thumb turn on the interior face, which locks the door from inside. The emergency access on the exterior face accepts a coin or flat tool to release the lock from outside — standard for bathroom and bedroom privacy locks.
The escutcheon plate frames the lock mechanism on the door face, protecting the door surface and providing a clean finish around the cylinder. The Thaon Handle is available with a round or square escutcheon plate — choose based on the door style.

Yes — the Thaon Handle's cylindrical form is non-directional and works on both right and left-handed doors without modification.
Yes — the Thaon Handle includes the necessary mounting hardware. Professional installation is recommended for mortice lock configurations. For standard passage and privacy setups, basic tools are sufficient.
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or acidic solutions, which can affect the finish. Antique brass develops a patina with use — this is intentional. Black and nickel finishes stay close to their original tone with occasional dry wiping.
