The Object

Formed by handlight settles through each panel

The Tapia Chandelier suspends sculptural alabaster shades from a brass-toned copper structure — each shade shaped into irregular, petal-like contours that diffuse the integrated LED into a warm, ambient wash below. No two shades are identical; the hand-formed alabaster carries its own texture and translucency. Available in round or linear configurations in four and two sizes respectively, it scales from an intimate dining corner to a wide kitchen run.
Why you'll love it
  • Hand-formed alabaster shades — organic, petal-like panels
  • Light diffuses softly through the alabaster — warm and ambient
  • Copper frame with a refined brass-toned finish
  • Round and linear configurations — four and two sizes each
  • Dimmable on request · integrated LED · 90–260V
Details

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

On the material

Alabastershaped into panels, lit from within

The alabaster used in the Tapia is hand-formed into irregular contours — no two shades are precisely the same. The stone doesn't reflect the light source; it absorbs and re-emits it, producing a diffused, ambient warmth rather than a concentrated pool. Paired with copper rods in a brass finish, the structure stays recessed and lets the stone carry the room.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
Three things that distinguish the Tapia from a standard chandelier.
Stone diffusion

Alabaster panels carry light through the material itself — warm and soft, never direct.

Copper structure

Brass-finished copper rods hold each shade at its own angle, keeping the form organic.

Two shapes, many sizes

Round or linear, four sizes each — the Tapia scales to the room and the table below it.

Frequently asked

The Tapia Chandelier is made from copper and alabaster. The copper frame is finished in a warm brass tone, and the shades are hand-formed alabaster — each panel slightly different in texture and translucency, shaped to diffuse the integrated LED softly.

Yes — the Tapia Chandelier can be configured for dimming on request. Let us know at checkout and we'll set it up before it ships. Compatible with most standard ceiling dimmer systems.

The Tapia Chandelier uses an integrated LED — built into each shade, no separate bulbs to source. The output ranges from 36W to 63W depending on the configuration you choose, with a warm, ambient colour temperature.

The Tapia Chandelier runs on 90–260V, which covers standard residential voltages in North America, Europe, Australia, and most other regions worldwide. No adaptor required.

The Tapia Chandelier comes in two shapes: round (four sizes: 40, 65, 80, and 100 cm diameter) and linear (two sizes: 100 and 120 cm length). Choose the shape and scale to suit your table, room, or ceiling height.

The Tapia Chandelier is available in a brass and white finish — a warm gold-toned copper frame paired with white alabaster shades. The alabaster itself carries natural variation in tone and translucency.

The Tapia Chandelier is well suited to dining rooms, living rooms, bedroom centrepieces, and entrance halls. The linear configuration works especially well over kitchen islands or long dining tables.

The Tapia Chandelier uses an integrated LED — there are no individual bulbs. Each shade contains its own light source, and the total output (36–63W) scales with the size and configuration selected.

The Tapia Chandelier comes with up to 20 cm of cord as standard. Extended cord length is available on request — contact us at checkout with your ceiling height and preferred hanging distance from the table or floor.

The Tapia uses hand-formed alabaster rather than pressed or moulded shades — each panel carries its own irregular contour and stone texture. Light diffuses through the material rather than bouncing off it, producing a warm, ambient glow that most chandeliers don't achieve.
