The Object

Each panel hand-rakedlight and memory together

The Stintino Chandelier is built from a grid of hand-raked glass panels set within a metal frame — the same technique Italian glassmakers used in the 1960s to turn a ceiling light into something you look at. The raking creates surface irregularity: no two panels catch the light identically, and the glow through the glass is warm, diffused, and softly patterned. Four sizes from 56 to 152 cm; three finishes; replaceable E14 LEDs.
Why you'll love it
  • Hand-raked glass panels — each one unique, no two identical
  • Warm, diffused glow inspired by 1960s Italian glass fixtures
  • Four sizes from 56 cm to 152 cm diameter
  • Three finishes: antiqued brass, matte black, polished nickel
  • Replaceable E14 LEDs (4–15 bulbs), included
Details

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

Cut and finished

Raked and setglass that carries its own history

The hand-raking process drags a tool across molten glass before it sets, leaving fine, irregular striations across the surface. Under a bare bulb, those marks scatter the light differently at every angle — the Stintino Chandelier never looks exactly the same twice in a day. Each panel is then cut, trimmed, and set by hand into the metal grid: a process unchanged since the Italian fixtures it draws from.

Hand-Raked Glass

Each panel is raked by hand — surface striations scatter light into a warm, unique pattern.

Four Sizes

56 cm to 152 cm diameter — scale the Stintino to a dining table or a double-height hall.

Three Finishes

Antiqued brass, matte black, or polished nickel — each changes the mood of the glass above it.

Frequently asked

The Stintino Chandelier ships free worldwide and typically arrives within 15–21 business days. Given the size of the larger configurations, we package each piece carefully — tracking is provided at dispatch.

Yes — the Stintino Chandelier is a hardwired ceiling fixture requiring connection to a ceiling junction box. Given the weight of the larger sizes (up to 168 lbs), professional installation by a certified electrician is strongly recommended.

Yes — each panel in the Stintino Chandelier is individually hand-raked before setting. This creates surface striations that scatter light differently across each panel, making the fixture unique in every installation.

Yes. The irregular surface of hand-raked glass breaks the E14 LED source into a soft, patterned diffusion — warm at the centre, subtly shifting toward the edges. The pattern changes with viewing angle and room lighting.

Yes — the glass panels absorb the point source and emit a warm, diffused glow. The Stintino is designed for ambient lighting rather than task illumination: comfortable and warm to sit beneath.

The Stintino Chandelier is directly inspired by mid-century Italian glass fixtures — the hand-raking technique, the panel-in-frame construction, and the warm diffused output are all characteristic of that period's approach to decorative lighting.

The Stintino scales from a compact 56 cm dining accent to a 152 cm statement chandelier, with output from 4000 lm to 15000 lm. Form and function scale together — the largest size is genuinely bright enough to light a large room.

The Stintino Chandelier uses an iron frame in antiqued brass, matte black, or polished nickel finish. The glass panels are hand-raked and set within the frame — iron provides structural integrity for even the heaviest configurations.

Yes — the Stintino Chandelier comes in antiqued brass, matte black, and polished nickel. Each finish gives the same glass panels a different character: warm and aged, graphic, or refined and reflective.

The Stintino Chandelier works as both light source and ceiling sculpture. Unlit, the glass and metal grid has presence; lit, it spreads warm, patterned light across the ceiling and walls — an atmosphere most fixtures can't replicate.
