The Squall Downlight uses high-quality components rated for long-term recessed installation. The housing is designed to accept ceiling plaster at the lip for a true trimless finish.
A trimless downlight eliminates the visible ring that traditional recessed lights leave on the ceiling. The Squall Downlight sits flush after plastering, so the ceiling looks continuous — only the light aperture shows.
Recessed trimless installation requires cutting a ceiling aperture, wiring, plastering the lip, and painting. We recommend a qualified electrician and plasterer for the Squall Downlight to achieve the intended flush result.
Very little — the Squall Downlight's LED is long-life and the flush surface requires only occasional light dusting. Because there's no trim ring, there are no edges to accumulate dust.
