The Object

Hung in leatherlight held in frosted glass

The Spadix pairs a leather exterior with a frosted glass inner diffuser, so the light that reaches the room is soft and even — none of the harshness of a bare bulb. The silhouette is quietly unusual: a shallow, elongated form that reads more like an object than a fitting. Choose a single pendant for a precise accent, or hang three to anchor a dining table.
Why you'll love it
  • Frosted glass diffuses light evenly, no glare at the table
  • Leather exterior adds warmth and texture to the form
  • Available as a single pendant or a set of three
  • Sloped-ceiling compatible, cord adjustable to 50 cm
  • Replaceable E14 LED bulbs included
Details

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

The making

Leather outsidefrosted glass within, always soft

The Spadix wraps premium leather around an iron frame and sets frosted glass at the centre, where the light actually lives. That glass layer is what separates this from most pendants: the source never shows, only its warmth does. Black iron finishes the canopy and cord fitting.

Frequently asked

The Spadix ships free worldwide. Delivery typically takes 15–21 business days, depending on your location. We'll send tracking details once dispatched.

The Spadix is hardwired to a ceiling junction box. It's a straightforward installation with the included hardware, though we recommend a certified electrician for hardwired fittings.

Yes — the Spadix uses premium leather chosen for its texture, durability, and how it ages. It adds genuine warmth to the form rather than a surface treatment.

A single Spadix gives 1000 lm — ideal as a focused accent or over a small table. For larger spaces or dining tables, the three-lamp version (3000 lm) is the better choice.

The standard configuration is not dimmable. If you'd like dimming capability, reach out before ordering and we'll explore what's possible.

Yes — the combination of leather, frosted glass, and black iron sits naturally in modern, industrial, and Japandi interiors, as well as warmer Nordic schemes.

The Spadix uses E14 LED bulbs — low energy draw, long life. The replaceable format means you can upgrade to a more efficient bulb if needed over time.

Yes — the Spadix comes with a 1-year warranty as standard, extendable to 2, 3, or 5 years. Contact us for extended warranty options.

The Spadix is designed for dry indoor spaces — living rooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms. It is not rated for bathroom or outdoor use.

Dust the leather gently with a soft dry cloth and wipe the frosted glass occasionally with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners on either material.
