The Object

Gatherednot thrown

The Simoom holds its light differently. Leather straps curve through the frame and the LED sits behind them, so the glow comes filtered through texture — warm, contained, closer to candlelight than ceiling fixture. The leather absorbs just enough to keep it from feeling sharp. What reaches the table feels deliberate.
Why you'll love it
  • Genuine leather straps filter the glow — warm, not glaring
  • Sculptural silhouette reads as art, lit or unlit
  • Integrated LED — no bulbs to replace
  • Four wattage options, three canopy widths per size
  • Sloped-ceiling compatible · hardwired · 90–260V
Details

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

The material

Leatherthe thing that holds the light

Comoros leather is pressed and shaped around the frame, then left to do what leather does: absorb, warm, and deepen with time. The straps aren't a surface finish — they're structural, defining the form from every angle. Up close, you see the grain. From across the room, you feel the warmth.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
Filtered glow

Leather straps wrap the LED so the light comes through texture, not around it.

Sculptural form

Suspended curves read as movement — a shape that changes with the angle.

Long-lasting

Integrated LED, hardwired, built for stairwells, kitchens, and open dining rooms.

Material & craft

Leathershaped by hand

Comoros leather is cut and pressed into each strap, then fitted to the iron frame individually. The material rewards closeness: you see the grain, the depth, the way the light plays differently across each band.

Design statement

Lightheld inside leather

Most chandeliers throw light outward. The Simoom collects it first. Leather straps wrap the LED and let the glow filter through — contained, warm, closer to the body. The result is a room that feels steadier, not brighter.

Frequently asked

Yes — Comoros leather, shaped and pressed around the iron frame. It's structural, not decorative veneer, and it deepens in character with time.

The Simoom Chandelier combines a forged iron frame with genuine leather straps and an integrated LED light source. No plastic components in the primary structure.

The Simoom Chandelier is hardwired. We recommend professional installation by a certified electrician. All mounting hardware is included. Allow 15–21 business days for delivery.

Yes — full installation instructions are included in the box. For stairwell or high-ceiling installs, professional installation is strongly recommended.

The Simoom Chandelier is not dimmable in its standard configuration. It ships with the selected wattage fixed. Contact us if you need a dimmable setup — we can advise.

Yes — the Simoom Chandelier is designed for staircases, double-height entries, and open-plan spaces. Choose the larger wattage options for spans above 3 m.

The leather straps wrap the LED strip and act as a soft diffuser, scattering light through texture so it spreads gently rather than concentrating in one point.

The integrated LED is rated for 50,000+ hours. The leather frame is built to last years — genuine leather develops patina, not wear. Backed by a 1-year Nava warranty, extendable.

Wipe the leather straps with a dry or very lightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners or soaking. A light leather conditioner once a year keeps the material supple and even-toned.

Not in the standard configuration. Contact us before ordering if dimming is a priority — we can confirm compatibility or configure an alternative.
