Installation Guide

No wiring here — just careful measuring, drilling, and mounting. Mortice locks take a bit more patience than a simple knob.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — surface installation on doors, drawers, or cabinetry; check your product's dimensions for placement and drilling points

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver (Phillips and flathead), drill and drill bits, Allen key
  • Tape measure, pencil, level
  • Chisel (for mortice lock installation)
  • Screws and anchors, safety goggles

Step by step

  1. Cabinet hardware — mark drilling points — use a tape measure and pencil; a template helps for uniformity across multiple pieces.
  2. Cabinet hardware — drill holes — use a bit matched to the screw diameter, keeping the drill straight.
  3. Cabinet hardware — mount — insert screws from inside the cabinet or drawer, secure the hardware on the front face, and tighten without overtightening.
  4. Cabinet hardware — align and inspect — confirm straightness and spacing before fully securing.
  5. Thumb lock or dummy handle — confirm orientation — determine left- or right-hand door swing and adjust as needed.
  6. Thumb lock or dummy handle — mark installation height — typically 36–38 inches from the floor to the handle center; align the mounting plate.
  7. Thumb lock or dummy handle — drill and attach — drill pilot holes and secure the backplate and handle with the included screws. Dummy handles install directly, no latch mechanism.
  8. Thumb lock only — install the strike plate — mark the latch location on the door frame, chisel a recess if needed, and screw the strike plate in.
  9. Mortice lock — cut the mortice pocket — use a chisel and drill to create a cavity in the door edge, following the provided measurements.
  10. Mortice lock — insert the lock body — fit it into the cavity and attach through the faceplate with screws.
  11. Mortice lock — install the handle — align the spindle through the lock, attach handles on both sides, and tighten with a screwdriver or Allen key.
  12. Mortice lock — install the cylinder (if applicable) — insert the key cylinder and secure with the cylinder screw from the door edge.
  13. Mortice lock — mount the strike plate — align with the latch mechanism and secure to the door frame.

Good to know

  • Double-check measurements before drilling.
  • Use a level for consistent alignment across multiple units.
  • If you're unfamiliar with mortice installation, consult a locksmith or professional.
  • Make sure all moving parts operate smoothly before final tightening.
  • Dummy handles are decorative or pull-only — they don't engage latches or locks.

Recessed — a grip without a bar

Unlike a standard pull that projects outward, the Senet's cup shape is recessed into the drawer front, so fingers reach in rather than around. The copper's brushed surface catches light along the curve without glare, and the low profile keeps a run of drawers reading clean and continuous.

Innovative engineering. Intelligent design.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of hardware is the Senet Drawer Pull?

It's a cup-style, half-moon drawer pull designed to sit recessed against the drawer front rather than project outward like a standard bar pull, giving a cleaner overall line.

What material is used to make this Drawer Pull?

Solid copper, available in a range of finishes from warm brass and gold tones through to cooler brushed chrome and black, depending on the palette you're working with.

Where can this knob be installed?

It suits kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, wardrobes, and built-in furniture — the recessed shape works especially well on drawers you open frequently.

What design style does this Drawer Pull complement?

Its clean half-moon form pairs well with both contemporary and classic cabinetry, working equally well against painted fronts, natural wood, or stone surfaces.

What makes the grip comfortable to use?

The curved cup shape is sized so fingers can hook in and pull naturally, distributing pressure across the hand rather than concentrating it on a thin edge.

Does this Drawer Pull sit flush against the drawer?

Largely yes — its recessed, low-profile design sits close to the drawer front, keeping the overall cabinetry line cleaner than a standard projecting pull.

In which areas of the home can it be used?

Kitchens, bathrooms, and any built-in storage or furniture with drawers — its warm copper tone and compact scale suit most residential rooms.

What color options are available for this product?

Five finishes: brass, vintage bronze, gold, brushed chrome, and black — a spread that covers both warm and cool hardware palettes.

Is this Drawer Pull purely decorative or functional as well?

Both — the half-moon shape is a genuine functional grip point, sized for real everyday use, while the copper finish adds a considered decorative note.

What defines the overall look of the Senet Drawer Pull?

Its smooth, curved silhouette and low profile give it a calm, architectural presence — understated rather than ornamental, with warmth coming from the copper tone.
