The Object

Cubed and stackedlight escaping through each tier

The Rimpar stacks three cherry-wood cubes on stainless steel legs, each face fitted with a circular frosted polycarbonate cutout. The light diffuses through the panels rather than projecting from a shade — an ambient wash that spills in four directions at once. Solid enough for patio use, warm enough for a bedroom corner. Plug-in, no wiring needed.
Why you'll love it
  • Three stacked cubes — a sculptural form that works as furniture
  • Cherry wood grain, warm and naturally finished
  • Frosted polycarbonate cutouts diffuse light gently in all directions
  • Stainless steel legs — stable on uneven outdoor surfaces
  • Plug-in · indoor and outdoor · replaceable LED · 12W
Details

No wiring here — just unpack, place it somewhere stable, and power it on.

Before you begin

  • Placement — free-standing on stable surfaces like floors, side tables, desks, or patios; keep clear of high-traffic areas
  • Power — corded wall plug, built-in rechargeable battery, or solar panel, depending on the model
  • Indoor/outdoor — not all models are weather-resistant; confirm the rating before using outdoors
  • Dimming — some lamps include a built-in dimming switch or work with plug-in dimmers
  • Bulbs — if your lamp uses replaceable bulbs, always match the recommended type and wattage

What you'll need

  • Nothing required for most models
  • Optional: screwdriver (for battery cover or shade assembly), extension cord (for outdoor or distant outlets)

Step by step

  1. Unpack and inspect — check for damage or missing parts. If your model has a detachable shade or base, assemble per the included instructions.
  2. Choose a location — flat, stable surface where it won't be knocked over. For outdoor use, keep it dry and level, and away from water unless the lamp is explicitly water-resistant.
  3. Connect the power source — plug corded models into a nearby (weather-protected, if outdoors) outlet; insert batteries into the compartment for battery-powered models; position solar panels in direct sunlight for the initial charge.
  4. Install or check the bulb — screw it in gently and don't exceed the socket's max wattage. Integrated LED models skip this step.
  5. Turn on and adjust — use the switch, touch sensor, or remote to power it on, and adjust brightness or modes if your model supports it. Solar or motion-activated lamps may need a full charge cycle first.

Good to know

  • Follow the safety warnings printed on the lamp or in the manual.
  • Don't use indoor-only lamps outdoors.
  • Recharge or replace batteries as needed to keep performance up.
  • Clean solar panels periodically for better charging.
  • Unplug corded lamps during storms or long periods of disuse.

The shape

Three cubes tieredlight falls between each

The Rimpar's stacked geometry means the light doesn't originate from a single point — it escapes through three pairs of frosted circles, one on each cube face. The diffusion is even and multi-directional. Cherry wood gives the overall form warmth that polycarbonate alone could never achieve.

Frequently asked

The Rimpar combines cherry wood for the stacked cube body, frosted polycarbonate for the circular light-diffusing panels, and stainless steel for the legs. Each material is chosen for its look and durability in both indoor and outdoor conditions.

Yes — the Rimpar's stainless steel legs and polycarbonate panels are suitable for patios, terraces, and garden settings as well as indoor rooms. Bring it inside during heavy rain; avoid leaving it exposed in very wet conditions for extended periods.

Each cube in the Rimpar's stacked design has circular frosted polycarbonate cutouts on its face. Light passes through these panels and diffuses outward in all directions, creating a soft ambient glow rather than a directed beam below.

The Rimpar is not configured for dimming. It operates at a consistent 12W output. If dimming is important to you, a compatible smart plug or external dimmer switch may be used — contact our team for guidance on compatibility.

The Rimpar uses a single replaceable LED bulb, included with the fixture. When replacement is needed, a standard LED bulb matching the original specification can be sourced from any hardware or lighting supplier.

The three stacked cubes create an object that reads as sculpture before it reads as a lamp. The cherry wood grain runs across each face, and the circular cutouts add geometric interest. It works as an accent piece even when unlit.

The stainless steel legs provide a stable base for the stacked cube structure, preventing the lamp from tipping on uneven patio surfaces. They add a modern, industrial contrast to the warm cherry wood above — a deliberate material pairing.

The Rimpar operates on 90–260V — compatible with standard electrical systems across North America, Europe, and most of the world. It is a plug-in fixture, so no hardwiring or electrician is required.

The Rimpar delivers 1200 lm, which is suitable for ambient and accent lighting in a corner, beside a sofa, or on a patio. For rooms that require strong task lighting, we recommend pairing it with an overhead or directional source.

The Rimpar's stacked cube structure is unusual in floor lamp design — most are vertical columns or arcing arches. Its multi-directional diffusion through frosted polycarbonate cutouts, combined with cherry wood warmth and steel stability, makes it a functional sculpture rather than a conventional lamp.
