Linein alabaster over the table

The Rijn Chandelier keeps its geometry simple: a straight iron bar finished in gold or black, with an alabaster element that diffuses the LED into a warm, even wash below. No clusters, no drama — just a clean horizontal line that fits over a kitchen island as naturally as it sits above a dining table. Two lengths, 100 cm and 120 cm, adjustable drop to 1.2 m.
Why you'll love it
  • Alabaster marble diffuses LED light warmly and evenly
  • Clean linear form — fits islands and dining tables
  • Two lengths: 100 cm and 120 cm
  • Gold or black iron finish
  • Adjustable drop to 1.2 m · wide voltage 90–260V
Details

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

Alabasterwarm light, clean line

Alabaster is a stone that glows rather than reflects — thin-cut sections transmit light into a soft, diffused wash that falls evenly across a surface below. The Rijn uses this property in a purely linear form: one straight bar, one light source, one clean shadow on the table beneath it.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
Alabaster glow

Natural marble diffuses the LED into a warm, even spread — no exposed bulb or harsh point.

Island-ready form

A straight 100 or 120 cm bar drops cleanly over kitchen islands and long dining tables.

Two finishes

Gold for a warm, refined look; black for a sharper, more contemporary feel.

Frequently asked

The Rijn is built from iron in a gold or black finish, with a natural alabaster marble element that diffuses the integrated LED into a warm, even glow below the bar.

The Rijn emits warm, even light diffused through the alabaster marble — no bare bulb visible, no harsh point. Available in warm, neutral, or white depending on configuration at order.

The integrated LED is the sole light source — efficient, built-in, and rated to 50,000 hours. No bulbs to replace, no ongoing running costs beyond the lamp itself.

The Rijn mounts to a standard ceiling junction box with included hardware. Professional installation by a certified electrician is recommended for a secure, level result.

Yes — the clean linear form works in contemporary, minimalist, and transitional kitchens. The gold finish warms up the space; the black keeps it sharp and modern.

The straight bar form echoes the geometry of a kitchen island or dining table beneath it — the lighting and the surface become a single composed element rather than separate pieces.

The integrated LED provides bright, well-distributed light sufficient for a working island or dining table. Exact lumen output depends on the configured LED — contact us for details.

The Rijn's clean geometry and alabaster material work in both modern and period homes — the natural stone reads warm and material-led rather than overtly contemporary.

Two: gold and black. Both share the same form and alabaster diffuser — the finish sets the overall tone, warm or sharp, to match the kitchen or dining room hardware.

The Rijn sits directly over a work surface and casts even light onto it — functional first, form second. The alabaster ensures the source is never distracting, just present.
