The Object

Glass arrangedinto something alive

The Plinth Chandelier stacks hand-sculpted glass forms around a brass iron frame, translucent cognac tones catching and reflecting each other as the light shifts. From across the room it reads as a composition — not a fixture. Available in three configurations (A, B, C) spanning 60 to 135 cm, it scales to the room without losing its sense of considered assembly. Replaceable G9 LEDs, adjustable cord to 50 cm, dimmable on request.
Why you'll love it
  • Layered cognac glass — depth and movement at every angle
  • Three configurations, 60 to 135 cm, scaled to the room
  • Brass-finished iron frame, built to last
  • Replaceable G9 LEDs, 81–234W output
  • Hardwired, adjustable cord, dimmable on request
Details

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

The structure

Cognac glassarranged, not stacked

Each glass element is individually sculpted and placed within the brass iron frame. Translucent cognac tones layer over each other so the fixture reads differently lit than unlit — warm and alive when on, architectural and still when off. The geometry shifts with viewing angle.

Three configs
