Professional installation by a certified electrician is recommended. The Peridot is hardwired and recessed into the ceiling — the electrical connection and ceiling cutout should be handled by a qualified tradesperson.
The Peridot uses an integrated LED — 7W, 10W, or 12W depending on size — delivering 770–1320 lm from a low power draw. LEDs run at a fraction of the energy cost of halogen or incandescent equivalents.
The Peridot Downlight is constructed entirely from aluminium — a material chosen for its weight, heat dissipation, and durability in a recessed housing where ventilation is limited.
The Peridot's integrated LED is rated at 50,000+ hours. At 8 hours of use per day, that's approximately 17 years before any LED performance decline — far beyond the typical replacement cycle of older downlight types.
Yes. The Peridot includes all necessary mounting hardware for recessed installation. A standard ceiling junction box or recessed housing is required; your electrician will confirm the cutout size needed before fitting.
No. The Peridot Downlight is designed for indoor recessed ceiling installation — living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, hallways, and commercial interiors. It does not carry an outdoor IP rating.
Maintenance is minimal. Wipe the visible trim ring with a dry or lightly damp cloth as needed. No bulb changes are required for the life of the integrated LED. Turn off the circuit before any cleaning near the fitting.
Nava Decor offers 14-day returns from delivery. If the Peridot arrives damaged or doesn't suit your installation, contact us within that window and we'll arrange a return or replacement without hassle.
Yes, on request. When ordering the Peridot Downlight, let us know you need dimmer compatibility and we'll configure it accordingly. Standard phase-cut LED dimmers work with the integrated LED when set up this way.
