The Ostbirk is built from iron for the rod framework and canopy hardware, with acrylic orb elements that house the light source. Iron gives the structure its clean, matte finish; acrylic diffuses the LED without yellowing over time.
The Ostbirk uses an integrated LED rated to 50,000 hours. At 6W and 660 lm it's calibrated for ambient use rather than task lighting — a warm, even glow suited to dining and living areas.
There is no separate bulb — the LED is integrated into the fixture. The Ostbirk arrives ready to hardwire and switch on; nothing additional needs to be purchased for the light source.
The Ostbirk has an integrated LED with no external bulb base — the light source is sealed within the acrylic orb elements as part of the fixture design. It is not user-replaceable.

Yes — the cord adjusts up to 1.8 m from the ceiling plate. Excess cord coils inside the canopy. We recommend hanging the bottom of the pendant 70–80 cm above a dining table surface as a starting point.
