Product Specifications

Material — Brass

Connection — RJ11 (telephone / DSL)

Finish — Brass (and additional finishes available)

Installation Guide

A standard outlet swap — power off, match the wires, new brass outlet in. GFCI and USB-C models just have a couple of extra terminals to watch for.

What's included

Brass plate, your selected outlet type (Standard, USB-C, or GFCI), and mounting accessories.

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, wire stripper

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — at your circuit breaker or fuse box.
  2. Remove the old cover plate — unscrew it and set it aside.
  3. Take out the old outlet — unscrew it from the electrical box and gently pull it out.
  4. Disconnect the wires — loosen the screws, or if back-inserted, cut and strip the ends.
  5. Connect the wires to the new outlet — wrap around screws or insert into terminals, following the Line, Neutral, and Ground markings (especially for GFCI and USB-C outlets).
  6. Secure the new outlet — tuck the wires back into the electrical box and fasten with the provided screws.
  7. Attach the new cover plate — place the brass plate over the outlet and screw it in.
  8. Turn the power back on — at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
  9. Test it — plug in a device to confirm power. For USB-C, test with a compatible charger. For GFCI, press the Test and Reset buttons to confirm it's working.

Brass plate — the telephone socket that fits the room

Like the Nok ethernet socket, the Noto is built around the idea that even utility fittings can hold their tone on a well-considered wall. The brass faceplate is finished to match: the same material, the same screw placement, the same proportion. The RJ11 port accepts standard telephone and DSL plugs. Nothing special is needed at the cable end — what changes is what you see on the surface.

Innovative engineering. Intelligent design.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Noto Socket used for?

The Noto Socket provides a wall-mounted RJ11 connection for telephone lines and DSL broadband — fitted in a quality brass faceplate.

What is the faceplate made of?

Brass. The Noto Socket faceplate is not plated plastic — it's finished in the same material as the Nok ethernet socket for a consistent look across data points.

What finishes are available?

Multiple finishes are available. Contact us with your existing hardware finish and we'll confirm the closest match for the Noto Socket.

Does the Noto Socket work with standard telephone plugs?

Yes — the Noto Socket accepts standard RJ11 plugs used for telephone handsets and DSL routers, with no adapters required.

Can I pair it with the Nok ethernet socket?

Yes. The Noto Socket and Nok Socket are designed to coordinate — same material, same faceplate proportion, same finish options.

Can I install it myself?

Connecting the Noto Socket to an existing telephone line is straightforward for anyone familiar with basic wiring. A certified electrician should handle any mains-adjacent work.

Is it suitable for commercial use?

Yes. The Noto Socket suits residential homes, hotel rooms, and commercial offices where a refined material finish matters for wall-mounted data points.

How do I clean the brass faceplate?

Wipe the Noto Socket with a soft dry cloth. Brass develops a natural patina over time — this can be polished back with a brass cloth if preferred.

What warranty does the Noto Socket carry?

The Noto Socket is covered by a 1-year warranty, extendable to 2, 3, or 5 years. Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery.

How long does shipping take?

The Noto Socket ships worldwide at no charge and typically arrives within 15–21 business days.
