The Object

Three armsone even glow

The Merindol spreads three opal glass globes across an open iron frame — geometry you can read from across the room, warmth you feel when you sit under it. Each globe diffuses its G9 LED into an even ambient wash, so the result is soft and balanced rather than three distinct points of light. Six finish colours, sloped-ceiling compatible, dimmable on request.
Why you'll love it
  • Opal glass globes — light diffused evenly, no glare
  • Geometric three-arm frame — sculptural from any angle
  • Six finish colours to match the room
  • Replaceable G9 LEDs, 50,000-hour rated
  • Sloped-ceiling compatible, cord adjusts to 1.8 m
Details

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

The structure

Arms spreadglobes held in place

The Merindol's frame is formed from iron and aluminium — three arms radiating from a single ceiling canopy, each ending in a socket that holds an opal glass globe. The globes themselves are blown rather than moulded, which gives the surface a subtle variation in opacity. This slight irregularity softens the LED inside, producing a glow that feels organic rather than manufactured.

Frequently asked

The Merindol uses three G9 LED bulbs — all included. G9s are a standard fitting, so replacements are widely available when the time comes.

Yes, the Merindol can be configured as dimmable on request. Specify at checkout and we'll arrange the appropriate setup.

The frame is iron and aluminium; the shades are opal glass. Both are chosen for durability and for the quality of light each produces.

Three — one G9 LED per arm. All three are included with the Merindol at no extra cost.

The Merindol operates on 90–260VAC, covering standard household voltages across most countries worldwide.

Six — black, white, grey, green, yellow, and red. The frame colour changes the mood of the piece substantially without altering the form.

Yes — the Merindol's cord adjusts up to 1.8 m, which covers most residential ceiling heights comfortably. For exceptionally high ceilings, contact us before ordering.

Yes — the Merindol works well in café, retail, and hospitality settings, particularly where a geometric centrepiece is needed over a table or counter.

No — the Merindol is designed for dry indoor areas only. It is not rated for use in bathrooms, wet rooms, or outdoor spaces.

Wipe the iron frame with a dry cloth and clean the glass globes with a damp cloth — no solvents. The G9 LEDs are replaceable when they eventually dim.
