The Object

Line drawnlight held inside

The Mengibar is a horizontal bar: metal on the outside, glass on the inside, LED running the full length behind it. Choose one, two, or three modules and the bar extends to match the table or island below. The output is even and glare-free — a clean horizontal line of light rather than a row of separate pendants. Black or grey, sloped-ceiling compatible.
Why you'll love it
  • Integrated LED runs the full bar length — no dark gaps
  • One, two, or three-head versions: 63, 116, or 171 cm
  • Even, glare-free illumination over tables and counters
  • Black or grey metal and glass construction
  • Sloped-ceiling compatible, cord adjusts to 1.5 m
Details

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

On the build

Metal barglass diffuser within

The Mengibar's frame is extruded metal — rigid, straight, and slim at 9 cm tall. The glass panel runs the full interior length of the bar, behind which the integrated LED sits. The glass softens and spreads the output laterally, so the bar reads as a single continuous light source rather than a series of points. Available in black or grey to suit the room.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
Three reasons the Mengibar works as a table or island light.
Full-Length LED

No hot spots or dark ends — light runs evenly from edge to edge.

Scalable

One, two, or three modules extend the bar to match the surface below.

Frequently asked

The Mengibar frame is metal — black or grey finish — with a glass diffuser panel running the interior length of the bar, behind which the integrated LED sits.

Yes — the Mengibar can be configured as dimmable on request. Specify at checkout and we will arrange the appropriate setup for a compatible wall dimmer.

The Mengibar operates on 90–260VAC, covering standard household and commercial voltages across most countries.

Three configurations — 1, 2, or 3 heads — giving bar lengths of 63 cm, 116 cm, and 171 cm respectively.

Yes — the cord adjusts up to 1.5 m from the ceiling, so you can set the drop to position the bar at the right height above the surface below.

Integrated LED — sealed inside the bar behind the glass diffuser. There is no separate bulb to source or replace.

The Mengibar comes in black and grey — both in a metal finish that suits modern, industrial, and Scandinavian interiors.

The Mengibar works best over dining tables, kitchen islands, office desks, and bar counters — anywhere a long, even horizontal light source is useful.

The 3-head version uses an integrated LED running the full 171 cm length — there are no separate bulbs. The output is 32W (3520lm).

Yes — the Mengibar is hardwired. Nava recommends professional installation by a certified electrician for a safe, level, and correctly wired fit.
