The Object

Aimednot just placed

The Magione holds an iron arm over a solid terrazzo base — each element doing its own job. The base anchors; the arm swings; the disc shade directs. Adjust it toward a reading chair or a wall and the whole room shifts. Available in black or grey-white, two finishes that sit quietly in the background while the light does the work.
Why you'll love it
  • Adjustable arm — direct the light to exactly where you need it
  • Terrazzo base — weighted, stable, and textured
  • Slim iron frame — lightweight to reposition, solid when set
  • Disc shade focuses light rather than flooding the room
  • Two colour options, integrated LED, dimmable on request
Details

No wiring here — just unpack, place it somewhere stable, and power it on.

Before you begin

  • Placement — free-standing on stable surfaces like floors, side tables, desks, or patios; keep clear of high-traffic areas
  • Power — corded wall plug, built-in rechargeable battery, or solar panel, depending on the model
  • Indoor/outdoor — not all models are weather-resistant; confirm the rating before using outdoors
  • Dimming — some lamps include a built-in dimming switch or work with plug-in dimmers
  • Bulbs — if your lamp uses replaceable bulbs, always match the recommended type and wattage

What you'll need

  • Nothing required for most models
  • Optional: screwdriver (for battery cover or shade assembly), extension cord (for outdoor or distant outlets)

Step by step

  1. Unpack and inspect — check for damage or missing parts. If your model has a detachable shade or base, assemble per the included instructions.
  2. Choose a location — flat, stable surface where it won't be knocked over. For outdoor use, keep it dry and level, and away from water unless the lamp is explicitly water-resistant.
  3. Connect the power source — plug corded models into a nearby (weather-protected, if outdoors) outlet; insert batteries into the compartment for battery-powered models; position solar panels in direct sunlight for the initial charge.
  4. Install or check the bulb — screw it in gently and don't exceed the socket's max wattage. Integrated LED models skip this step.
  5. Turn on and adjust — use the switch, touch sensor, or remote to power it on, and adjust brightness or modes if your model supports it. Solar or motion-activated lamps may need a full charge cycle first.

Good to know

  • Follow the safety warnings printed on the lamp or in the manual.
  • Don't use indoor-only lamps outdoors.
  • Recharge or replace batteries as needed to keep performance up.
  • Clean solar panels periodically for better charging.
  • Unplug corded lamps during storms or long periods of disuse.

On the form

Iron in the airstone at its feet

The terrazzo base is cast with aggregate visible at the surface — a deliberate contrast to the slender iron arm above. The disc shade sits at the end of the arm like a full stop, small and precise. Every element holds its shape; nothing decorates for decoration's sake.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
Three features that make the Magione work as well as it looks.
Aim it

The adjustable arm tilts the disc shade toward a chair, a desk, or a wall — wherever you actually need the light.

Stays put

The terrazzo base adds low, stable weight so the lamp holds its position without anchoring to the floor.

Two finishes

Black for contrast; grey-white for rooms that want less presence — same clean form either way.

Frequently asked

The Magione provides directional ambient light — the disc shade focuses the glow where the arm points, so you get task or accent light rather than a broad flood. It's well-suited to reading chairs and workspaces.

Yes, on request — let us know when ordering and we'll configure it for dimming. It works with standard compatible dimmer switches.

The Magione is built from an iron frame and arm with a cast terrazzo base. Iron keeps the lamp light in the hand; the terrazzo provides stable ground weight without bulk.

One — the Magione uses a single integrated LED, included with the fixture. There's no bulb to source or replace.

The Magione runs on 90–260V, so it works in North America, Europe, Australia, and most other regions without an adapter.

Two — black for a stronger contrast in the room, and grey-white for interiors that prefer a quieter presence. Both share the same form and build.

Yes — the arm pivots so you can angle the disc shade toward your reading chair, a desk surface, or the wall. Adjust it once and it holds position.

The Magione suits reading nooks, living room corners, and workspaces — anywhere you want directed light without a ceiling fixture. The compact base fits beside armchairs and at desk edges.

The base is weighted for stability but the overall lamp remains light enough to reposition by hand. You can move the Magione between rooms without disassembling it.

Minimal assembly is required — the main components connect at the base and arm. No tools are needed for the assembly itself; just plug into a wall socket to use. We recommend a certified technician for any electrical queries.
