The Object

Graincaught in relief

Each block of the Luroy Wall Panel sits at its own depth, so the surface rises and recedes across the wall. Morning light grazes the edges and pulls long shadows between the squares; by evening, warm light pools into the recesses and softens the grain. The wood rings and knots stay visible throughout — honest material, made into something worth looking at.
Why you'll love it
  • Solid wood blocks at varying depths — real dimension, not a print
  • Grain shifts in tone as light moves across the wall
  • Absorbs sound — rooms feel quieter and more contained
  • Modular format — pattern extends cleanly across any width
  • Works on walls, ceilings, cabinetry and feature panels
Details

Three ways to install, depending on your panel — nail gun, peel-and-stick, or glue-on. Pick the one that matches what you ordered.

Before you begin

  • Prep — walls should be clean, dry, and smooth; remove dust, grease, nails, and flaky paint
  • Layout — measure and mark your starting line with a level and pencil, and lay out panels on the floor first to visualize placement

What you'll need

  • Tape measure, level, pencil or chalk line
  • Utility knife or fine-tooth saw, clean cloth
  • Caulk gun (if using adhesive), rubber roller (for peel-and-stick), brad nail gun (for nail gun install)

Step by step

  1. Nail gun — for thicker or heavier panels like wood/MDF. Locate wall studs with a stud finder and mark them.
  2. Nail gun — start at the bottom corner and align your first panel to your guidelines.
  3. Nail gun — fasten into studs — nails every 12–16".
  4. Nail gun — fit remaining panels tightly together and continue fastening. Fill nail holes with wood filler or color-matched putty. Optionally, add caulk between panels for seamless joints. Leave a 1/8" gap at edges for expansion.
  5. Peel-and-stick — for lightweight panels with pre-applied adhesive. Wipe the wall clean of dust and grease and let it dry fully. Measure and draw a level starting line.
  6. Peel-and-stick — peel and place — remove the adhesive backing from the first panel, align carefully, and press onto the wall starting at one edge.
  7. Peel-and-stick — roll it flat — use a rubber roller to apply even pressure, then continue placing panels tightly against each other. Avoid repositioning — the adhesive is strongest on first contact.
  8. Glue-on — for panels without adhesive, like solid PVC, composite, or acoustic. Clean the wall surface thoroughly.
  9. Glue-on — apply adhesive in an "S" or zig-zag pattern on the back of the panel.
  10. Glue-on — press into place — align to your guide marks and press firmly against the wall. Use painter's tape to hold it if needed.
  11. Glue-on — repeat and finish — continue with remaining panels, keeping spacing even and level. Wipe away any adhesive squeeze-out with a damp cloth. Let adhesive cure 24–48 hours before applying pressure or weight.

Block by blocka wall made tactile

Each square of the Luroy is a solid wood block, set proud of the one beside it at a slightly different height. The result is a surface with real depth — not the suggestion of texture, but actual shadow and relief. Run a hand across it and you feel the transition between blocks; stand back and the whole wall reads as movement.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
Three things that make the Luroy different from a printed or applied panel.
Shadow play

Shadows gather in the gaps between raised blocks, shifting slowly as daylight moves across the wall.

Sound softened

The layered wood surface absorbs ambient sound, making rooms feel calmer and more contained.

Grain revealed

Natural rings, knots, and tone are left intact — the material is the design, not the finish.

Material & craft

Grainleft exactly as found

The wood rings, knots, and tonal shifts are left intact rather than sanded away or stained uniform. The cutting reveals what was already there — a surface honest about its material, set in relief so the grain catches light rather than disappearing into a flat plane.

Design statement

A wallmade worth looking at

Most wall panels flatten texture into a print. The Luroy does the opposite: each block of solid wood stands at its own height, so the surface has real depth you can see and feel. Light grazes the edges by day and settles into the recesses by evening. The room changes — quieter, warmer, more deliberate.

Frequently asked

Solid wood — each block is cut from real timber with the natural grain, rings, and knots left visible. No veneer, no print. The surface varies panel to panel as the wood varies.

Each square block sits at a slightly different depth from its neighbour. The variation creates a grid of real shadow and relief — not a flat printed texture — that shifts as light moves across the wall.

Yes. The solid wood blocks and the air pockets between them absorb mid-frequency sound, softening echo. Living rooms and offices particularly benefit from the quieter, more contained feel.

Walls, ceilings, cabinetry, and feature panels. The modular 30 x 30 cm format extends cleanly across any width without breaking the pattern's cadence.

The Luroy Wall Panel ships worldwide at no charge. Delivery typically arrives in 15–21 business days. You'll receive tracking details once your order is dispatched.

Every Luroy Wall Panel comes with a one-year warranty as standard, extendable to two, three, or five years. If anything isn't right, get in touch and we'll make it good.

Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery. Panels should be unused and in original condition. Contact us to start the process and we'll arrange collection.

We recommend professional installation by a certified technician. The panels use standard junctions and the modular format makes alignment straightforward. Side lighting angled across the surface shows the relief at its best.

Yes. The Luroy is designed with modular continuity — the pattern extends cleanly from one panel to the next without a visible join. It reads as one surface, not a grid of tiles.

It does — natural variation is part of the material. Rings, knots, and tone shift from block to block, so no two sections of wall look identical. The surface stays consistent in form while the material stays honest.
