The Object

Pleated glassdepth that catches the eye

The Lioux Chandelier sets pleated glass shades on a brass-finished frame with wood accents — the texture in the glass does the work, catching and folding the light into something warm and layered. Three heads or five, each shade sitting at even intervals along the brass arms. Scandinavian in proportion: nothing excessive, everything intentional.
Why you'll love it
  • Pleated glass shades — texture that diffuses and layers the glow
  • Brass finish with wood detail — warm Scandinavian material combination
  • 3 or 5 heads — same design, scaled to the room
  • Soft, diffused ambient light — nothing harsh, nothing bare
  • Replaceable E27 LEDs included · dimmable on request · hardwired
Details

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

On the material

Pleated glassthe fold is what softens the light

The glass is pressed into uniform pleats before the shades are set — each fold refracts the LED source at a slightly different angle, breaking the glow into a layered warmth rather than a single even wash. The brass arm and wood canopy detail bring material warmth to a structure that would otherwise read too clinical.

Textured glass

Pleated shades break and layer the light — soft, warm, never flat.

Brass and wood

Two warm materials in one frame — brass for structure, wood for warmth.

Two scales

3 heads for a dining table or bedroom, 5 heads for a living room or larger space.

Frequently asked

Metal and brass-finished frame, pleated glass shades, and a wood detail on the canopy. The combination keeps the piece warm and tactile rather than industrial or cold.

Standard E27 LED bulbs — included with the Lioux and replaceable. E27 is one of the most common bulb types, so replacements are easy to source anywhere.

Yes, on request. Specify at checkout and we'll configure the Lioux for dimmer compatibility — it works with most standard E27-rated wall dimmers once set up.

The 3-head is D 50 x H 38 cm; the 5-head is D 66 x H 38 cm. Both hang the same depth — the diameter is what changes between configurations.

No — the Lioux is designed for flat ceilings only. If your ceiling is sloped, contact us before purchasing and we'll advise on compatible alternatives in the Nava range.

The Lioux mounts to a standard ceiling junction box with included hardware. Wiring is hardwired; we recommend a certified electrician for the connection, though the mounting itself is straightforward.

Scandinavian, modern, and transitional interiors — the pleated glass and brass combination is particularly at home in warm, minimalist rooms with natural material details.

The 38 cm body height suits rooms with standard ceiling heights (2.4 m and above). In lower rooms, the 3-head configuration at 50 cm wide is the better choice — it keeps scale in proportion.

No — the Lioux is rated for dry indoor use only. Bathrooms and other damp spaces require a fixture with an appropriate IP rating for moisture resistance.

The 3-head suits dining tables and bedrooms up to around 15 m²; the 5-head is better for living rooms or open-plan spaces up to 25–30 m². For larger commercial spaces, contact us for guidance.
