Travertineset flat against the ceiling

The Lijar sits a layered circle of travertine flush against the ceiling, so the stone's natural markings become the visible detail rather than a bulb or fitting. Each fixture carries its own veining and tone variation. Paired with iron for structure, it casts a gentle, diffused glow — enough presence for a hallway or bedroom, low enough not to crowd a lower ceiling.
Why you'll love it
  • Natural travertine surface with individual veining and texture
  • Low-profile layered form suits rooms with lower ceilings
  • Soft, diffused glow rather than a hard direct beam
  • Grounded stone-and-iron material pairing
  • Dimmable on request · integrated LED
Details

A close-to-ceiling install for low-clearance rooms — power off, mount the bracket, match the wires, done.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — direct to a standard ceiling junction box; sits close against the ceiling
  • Dimming — most socketed models dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Ceilings — flat ceilings only; for vaulted or sloped ceilings, look at semi-flush or pendant options instead
  • Power — hardwired to your home's electrical system

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — shut it off at the breaker panel and confirm with a voltage tester.
  2. Remove the fixture cover — twist or unclip the outer shade or base cover to expose the mounting plate and wiring.
  3. Install the mounting bracket — attach it to the ceiling junction box with the supplied screws, secure and level.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the junction box.
  5. Attach the fixture base — lift into place, align with the bracket, and secure with the provided screws so it sits flush against the ceiling.
  6. Reattach the cover — twist, clip, or fasten the decorative cover or diffuser back on.
  7. Restore power and test.

Good to know

  • Great for standard or low ceilings — hallways, bedrooms, closets.
  • Confirm your junction box can support the fixture's weight.
  • Follow local electrical codes.
  • When in doubt, bring in a licensed electrician.

On the stone

Travertineno two fixtures alike

Every Lijar carries its own pattern of natural markings, since travertine forms with mineral variation baked in. Iron detailing holds the layered stone circles in a clean, architectural silhouette. Lit, the surface glows with a soft warmth that reads as texture first, light source second.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
Three details behind the Lijar's grounded presence.
Natural stone

Real travertine brings organic veining and tone variation to every fixture.

Low profile

A flush, layered form suited to rooms where ceiling height is limited.

Diffused glow

Soft, even light that sets a calm mood without overwhelming the room.

Frequently asked

Yes, on request — let us know when ordering and we'll configure it to work with a standard dimmer switch. As standard it ships at a fixed warm output.

An integrated LED, built into the fixture. At 28W (3080 lumens) it gives enough output for a bedroom or hallway while the stone diffuses the glow into something soft rather than harsh.

A wide 90–260VAC range, which covers standard residential wiring across North America, Europe, and most other regions without needing an adaptor.

Natural travertine paired with an iron structure. The stone provides the organic texture and glow, while the iron gives the layered circular form its clean architectural line.

No — because travertine is a natural stone, each fixture carries its own veining and subtle tonal variation. No two Lijar lights read identically, which is part of the material's appeal.

Yes — its flush, low-profile design was built specifically for rooms with limited ceiling clearance, sitting close to the surface rather than dropping down.

A soft, diffused glow rather than a direct beam. The layered stone form spreads the integrated LED's output evenly, creating an ambient wash suited to bedrooms and living spaces.

It works well in bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, and dining spaces — anywhere a warm, low-profile ambient light suits the room better than a bright overhead fixture.

It ships in a natural wood and beige finish, letting the travertine's inherent tone and veining carry the visual character rather than an applied colour coat.

We recommend it, yes. The Lijar is hardwired to a standard junction box, and a certified electrician ensures it's mounted securely and wired safely to your home's supply.
