The Object

Twelve prismsone distributed glow

The Lappwald Chandelier hangs twelve hexagonal glass prisms from a gold iron frame, arranged so the light distributes evenly across the room rather than concentrating beneath the fixture. Each prism catches the G9 LED source and refracts it outward — the room picks up warmth from multiple angles rather than a single downward cone. Three lengths: 60, 80, and 100 cm.
Why you'll love it
  • Twelve hexagonal glass prisms on a gold iron frame
  • Each prism refracts light outward — even room-wide warmth
  • Replaceable G9 LEDs — included and widely available
  • Three lengths: 60 cm, 80 cm, and 100 cm
  • Adjustable drop to 1 m · 90–260V · ceiling or wall mount
Details

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

On the build

Prisms arrangedlight sent in every direction

Each of the Lappwald's twelve shades is formed as a hexagonal glass prism — a shape chosen for the way it catches and redirects light rather than simply transmitting it. The gold iron frame holds them in an even arrangement, so the G9 LEDs feed into twelve individual refraction points. The result is a warm, room-wide glow that avoids the harsh cone effect of a conventional chandelier.

Three things to know about the Lappwald before you install it.
Prism shades

Hexagonal glass prisms refract G9 LED light in multiple directions — warm glow fills the room.

Gold iron frame

Solid iron construction with a warm gold finish — twelve prisms evenly spaced and firmly mounted.

Frequently asked

The Lappwald Chandelier uses iron for the structural frame, finished in gold, and glass for the twelve hexagonal prism shades. The iron provides rigidity at the frame; the glass prisms do the optical work of distributing the G9 LED light across the room.

The Lappwald Chandelier is pipe-erected and mounts to a standard ceiling junction box. It can also be wall-mounted with the included brackets. We recommend professional installation by a certified electrician for safe connection and correct levelling.

Yes — the Lappwald Chandelier comes with up to 1 m of adjustable cord. Your electrician can set the drop during installation to suit your ceiling height and the space below the fixture.

The Lappwald Chandelier uses LED G9 bulbs with a rated life of 50,000 hours. At 6 hours of daily use, that's over 22 years before a replacement is needed. Bulbs are included and widely available when the time comes.

The Lappwald Chandelier can be ceiling-mounted to a standard junction box, or wall-mounted using the included brackets. Both methods are covered in the installation guide. For ceiling use, confirm your junction box can carry the 3 kg weight.

The Lappwald Chandelier operates on 90–260V, covering standard residential voltages in North America, Europe, Australia, and most other regions worldwide. No adaptor is required.

Yes — the Lappwald Chandelier ships with all mounting hardware included, covering both ceiling and wall installation. G9 LED bulbs are also included, so the fixture is ready to connect and use.

The Lappwald Chandelier works well in dining rooms, living rooms, and bedrooms. Its linear form and even light distribution suit rooms from intimate to generous. The 60 cm size fits tighter spaces; the 100 cm size anchors larger dining tables.

The Lappwald uses hexagonal glass prisms rather than conventional shades. Each prism refracts the G9 LED light outward in multiple directions — producing a warmer, more distributed room glow than a standard chandelier, which typically concentrates light downward in a single cone.

The Lappwald Chandelier connects to your standard wall switch via hardwiring. Once installed by your electrician, it operates from your existing light switch. It's not dimmable as standard — if you need dimming, contact us before ordering and we'll advise on options.
