The Object

Touch itwood warm, brass solid

The Langeskov Knob pairs a natural wood body with brass hardware — geometric in form, warm in the hand. The wood gives texture where a plain metal pull wouldn't, and the brass keeps the geometry tight. In brass, bronze, black, or wood finish, it slots into clean-lined kitchens, wardrobes, and sideboards without effort. Available as a knob or in five pull bar lengths.
Why you'll love it
  • Wood and brass — tactile warmth on every drawer
  • Four finishes: brass, bronze, black, natural wood
  • Knob or pull bar — five bar lengths available
  • Geometric form suits modern and Scandi interiors
  • Brass resists wear and tarnish through daily use
Details

No wiring here — just careful measuring, drilling, and mounting. Mortice locks take a bit more patience than a simple knob.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — surface installation on doors, drawers, or cabinetry; check your product's dimensions for placement and drilling points

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver (Phillips and flathead), drill and drill bits, Allen key
  • Tape measure, pencil, level
  • Chisel (for mortice lock installation)
  • Screws and anchors, safety goggles

Step by step

  1. Cabinet hardware — mark drilling points — use a tape measure and pencil; a template helps for uniformity across multiple pieces.
  2. Cabinet hardware — drill holes — use a bit matched to the screw diameter, keeping the drill straight.
  3. Cabinet hardware — mount — insert screws from inside the cabinet or drawer, secure the hardware on the front face, and tighten without overtightening.
  4. Cabinet hardware — align and inspect — confirm straightness and spacing before fully securing.
  5. Thumb lock or dummy handle — confirm orientation — determine left- or right-hand door swing and adjust as needed.
  6. Thumb lock or dummy handle — mark installation height — typically 36–38 inches from the floor to the handle center; align the mounting plate.
  7. Thumb lock or dummy handle — drill and attach — drill pilot holes and secure the backplate and handle with the included screws. Dummy handles install directly, no latch mechanism.
  8. Thumb lock only — install the strike plate — mark the latch location on the door frame, chisel a recess if needed, and screw the strike plate in.
  9. Mortice lock — cut the mortice pocket — use a chisel and drill to create a cavity in the door edge, following the provided measurements.
  10. Mortice lock — insert the lock body — fit it into the cavity and attach through the faceplate with screws.
  11. Mortice lock — install the handle — align the spindle through the lock, attach handles on both sides, and tighten with a screwdriver or Allen key.
  12. Mortice lock — install the cylinder (if applicable) — insert the key cylinder and secure with the cylinder screw from the door edge.
  13. Mortice lock — mount the strike plate — align with the latch mechanism and secure to the door frame.

Good to know

  • Double-check measurements before drilling.
  • Use a level for consistent alignment across multiple units.
  • If you're unfamiliar with mortice installation, consult a locksmith or professional.
  • Make sure all moving parts operate smoothly before final tightening.
  • Dummy handles are decorative or pull-only — they don't engage latches or locks.

The material

Wood grainset in a brass frame

Natural wood meets precision brass in the Langeskov — the grain is visible, the finish is deliberate, and the geometry keeps everything clean. It's a hardware detail that earns its place by feel as much as by look — the wood warm under fingertips, the brass adding weight behind it.

Frequently asked

The Langeskov is made from natural wood and solid brass — wood for warmth and texture in the hand, brass for the frame and fixings. Both materials are built for regular daily use.

It suits cabinets, drawers, wardrobe doors, and cupboards. The geometric form works well in kitchens, bedrooms, and living spaces — anywhere you want a considered hardware detail.

The combination of natural wood grain and brass geometry is the distinguishing detail — most hardware is all-metal or all-wood. The Langeskov brings both materials together in a clean, modern form.

Yes — the clean geometric lines make the Langeskov a natural fit for contemporary, Scandinavian, and minimalist interiors. The wood softens the geometry enough to suit transitional spaces too.

The brass components resist wear and tarnish through daily use. The wood is finished to hold its look. The Langeskov is built for a kitchen or wardrobe that gets used hard.

The knob weighs 40 g. Pull bars range from 78 g to 112 g depending on length — all feel substantial in the hand without being heavy on the door or drawer.

Yes — the geometric form and restrained palette make the Langeskov a natural fit for minimal spaces. It adds material warmth without visual noise.

Natural wood body, solid brass frame, four finish options, a knob and five pull bar lengths — the Langeskov covers every cabinet and drawer in a consistent design language.

Yes — standard screw-mount hardware. Hole spacing is listed per size so you can confirm fit before ordering. A basic screwdriver is all that's needed for most applications.

The Langeskov's wood-and-brass combination adds considered warmth to contemporary interiors — it's the kind of detail that reads as intentional rather than generic. Ships free worldwide in approximately 15–21 business days.
