The Object

Cut from stonethen set in brass

The Kollafjord pairs a natural marble cap with a brass base: the stone carries its own veining into every kitchen drawer, wardrobe door, and cabinet it touches. No two knobs are identical — the marble is cut individually, so the pattern shifts across every piece in a set. Available in white, grey, green, blue, and a brass-toned marble, in two sizes to suit the scale of the furniture.
Why you'll love it
  • Natural marble cap — each knob individually veined and unique
  • Brass base for lasting durability and warm contrast
  • Five stone colours: white, grey, green, blue, brass
  • Two sizes for drawers and cabinet doors of any scale
  • Suits kitchen drawers, wardrobes, and living room cabinets
Details

A quick face-lift, not a rewire — you're only swapping the cover plate, but we still have you flip the breaker as a precaution.

What's included

One solid brass wall plate. No electrical components included.

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — at your circuit breaker, even though you're only replacing the plate.
  2. Remove the existing plate — loosen and remove the screws, then lift it away from the wall.
  3. Inspect the underlying devices — confirm your dimmers, toggles, outlets, or other modules are secure and undamaged.
  4. Position the brass plate — align it over the existing devices so all openings fit cleanly around the controls.
  5. Insert the screws — use the included matching brass screws, threading gently to avoid stripping the holes.
  6. Don't overtighten — snug against the wall is enough; overtightening can damage the brass or the wall surface.
  7. Check the fit — the plate should sit flush, with all device cutouts aligned for easy access.
  8. Restore power — once everything is secure and properly positioned.
  9. Final polish — wipe the brass gently with a soft cloth to remove fingerprints or dust.

On the material

Natural stoneevery knob tells a different story

Marble is cut and shaped rather than cast, so each Kollafjord knob has its own grain orientation and vein pattern. In a set of ten, no two will be identical — the variation is a feature of the material, not a defect. The brass base grounds the stone with a warm, heavy base that pulls slightly more weight than the marble would alone, giving the knob a confident feel in the hand.

Why natural marble makes this knob worth the difference.
Every one unique

Natural marble veining means no two knobs in a set share the same pattern.

Brass base

Solid brass underpin gives the knob weight and warmth — the marble rests in it securely.

Five colours

Frequently asked

Yes — each Kollafjord knob is cut from a real marble block, so the veining pattern and grain direction vary from piece to piece. In a matching set, you'll see family resemblance within the colour, but no two pieces are identical.

Natural marble for the cap and solid brass for the base. The brass provides structural integrity and weight; the marble provides the visual character and natural texture that synthetic alternatives cannot replicate.

The slim profile and natural material palette — stone and brass — suit restrained, warm-minimal interiors without adding visual noise. The knob enhances the furniture rather than competing with it.

Yes — the solid brass base and polished marble surface resist moisture and kitchen grease under normal conditions. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners on the marble surface; a damp cloth is all the maintenance needed.

Yes. The larger size (D 4.2 cm) suits full-height wardrobe doors where a slightly bigger grip is more comfortable; the smaller size (D 2.2 cm) suits shaker-style wardrobe or cabinet doors.

No — each Kollafjord Knob uses a standard through-bolt fitting. Mark the hole position, drill to the recommended depth, pass the bolt through, and tighten. No specialist tools required; most installations take under five minutes per knob.

Both are among the most durable natural materials used in hardware. Brass doesn't crack or corrode indoors; marble is hard enough to resist everyday scratching. The combination should outlast the cabinet it's fitted to.

Yes — intentionally. Marble's veining is a product of geological pressure and mineral deposits, so each cut yields a unique cross-section. A set of Kollafjord Knobs will be cohesive in colour but individual in detail.

They add the kind of detail that makes furniture feel finished: natural material at the point of daily contact. Whether that reads as modern or classic depends on the cabinet style — the Kollafjord suits both.

Yes — the natural marble surface and warm brass base are well-suited to sideboards, media units, and display cabinets in living rooms. The knob sits flush and refined, reading as considered detail at close range.
