The Object

Flushlight that disappears into the ceiling

The Jasper sits flush — aluminium ring, acrylic diffuser, integrated LED. Nothing protrudes, nothing draws attention to itself. The acrylic spreads the output evenly so there are no hotspots; CRI >80 means colours in the room read true. Three sizes (10, 12, 14 cm diameter), black or white, sloped-ceiling compatible.
Why you'll love it
  • Flush recessed form — disappears into the ceiling surface
  • Acrylic diffuser — even output with no hotspots
  • CRI >Ra80 — colours read accurately under the light
  • Integrated LED rated 50,000+ hours — nothing to replace
  • Three sizes · black or white · sloped-ceiling compatible
Details

The install depends on your mount type — trimless, recessed, semi-recessed, surface, or track — so confirm which one you have before you start.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — trimless, recessed, semi-recessed, surface-mounted, or track-mounted; confirm the type in your product listing
  • Ceilings — most models suit drywall; some also work with concrete or drop ceilings, check the technical documentation
  • Dimming — many designs dim when paired with compatible drivers and wall dimmers
  • Power — hardwired, connects directly to a ceiling electrical junction
  • Trimless — may need professional finishing or flush-mount drywall work
  • Track — installs onto a compatible rail system; check your product's specification for track type

What you'll need

  • Drill, keyhole or drywall saw (for recessed or trimless)
  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included with most fixtures), screws and wall anchors (for surface mounting)
  • Level, measuring tape or pencil

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — at the breaker panel, and confirm with a voltage tester.
  2. Prepare the ceiling opening (recessed and trimless only) — mark your opening with the provided template and cut carefully with a drywall saw or hole cutter. Trimless models need deeper space and extra setup for a seamless finish.
  3. Install the mounting hardware or fixture housing — recessed and trimless designs insert into the ceiling cavity and secure with spring clips or fasteners (trimless may need joist framing); semi-recessed fixtures partially install per the included instructions; surface-mounted downlights attach directly with screws and wall anchors; track fixtures need a compatible track system first, then lock into place.
  4. Connect the wiring — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck neatly back into the housing or box.
  5. Final assembly — trimless fixtures get mudded and feathered into the ceiling plane before painting; recessed, semi-recessed, and surface fixtures finish by twisting or snapping the trim or body into place; track lights get positioned and rotated along the rail after locking in.
  6. Restore power and test — use the wall switch or dimmer to verify proper operation.

Good to know

  • Professional installation is recommended for trimless or recessed downlights, especially with mudding or insulation involved.
  • Follow local electrical codes and regulations.
  • Use only compatible drivers and dimmers for your fixture.
  • Keep safe spacing from insulation in ceiling cavities to prevent overheating.

On the build

Aluminium ringacrylic holds the light even

The aluminium body sits inside the ceiling cutout; the acrylic diffuser faces the room. The LED behind the diffuser runs at 10W, 15W, or 25W depending on size — enough for a room grid or a single accent point. CRI >80 keeps the light honest; nothing shifts orange or blue under it.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
No projection

Sits fully flush — no trim, no shadow gap, nothing to interrupt a clean ceiling.

Accurate colour

CRI >Ra80 means walls, fabrics, and wood all read as they should under this light.

Long life

50,000+ hour integrated LED — no bulb changes for the life of most room installations.

Frequently asked

The housing and trim ring are aluminium; the diffuser face is acrylic. Both are lightweight, heat-tolerant, and finished to hold their colour over the LED's long lifespan.

Very — 10W, 15W, or 25W depending on size, compared to 60–100W equivalent incandescent output. The 50,000-hour LED life also eliminates the energy and cost of frequent bulb replacement.

The integrated LED is rated for 50,000+ hours — at 8 hours a day, that's over 17 years of continuous use before you'd consider replacement.

Cut a hole in the ceiling to the specified diameter, insert the downlight, and connect it to the driver and mains circuit. Sloped ceilings are compatible. We recommend a certified electrician for all hardwired installations.

90–260V — works across most global electrical standards without an adapter or voltage converter.

Two — black and white. Black recesses further visually into the ceiling; white disappears into standard white plaster ceilings. Both have the same acrylic diffuser face.

Yes — the integrated LED consumes significantly less power than halogen or incandescent equivalents, and the 50,000-hour lifespan means far fewer units discarded over time.

The acrylic diffuser spreads light evenly with no hotspot, and CRI >Ra80 keeps room colours accurate. The result is a clean, comfortable wash that supports the space without dominating it.

Yes — the flush, minimal form suits contemporary and minimalist interiors particularly well. It disappears into the ceiling surface, so the focus stays on the room, not the fixture.

Yes — one year as standard, with extended options (2, 3, or 5 years) available. Contact us at the time of purchase to arrange extended cover.
