The frame is metal finished in chrome and gold; the decorative elements are real shell. The shell adds natural texture and variation — each piece looks slightly different depending on the angle of the light.
The Ingot is manufactured with close attention to the shell arrangement and finish quality. Each shell element is individually set into the metal frame — the process is more considered than standard mass production.
The Ingot is hardwired and mounts to a standard ceiling junction box. If you're comfortable with electrical work and understand your local code requirements, it's manageable — but professional installation is recommended.
Yes — a certified electrician will ensure the fixture is safely wired and level, especially for larger diameters. The fixture arrives with mounting hardware and instructions.

Dust the shell elements with a soft, dry brush or cloth. Wipe the metal frame gently — avoid abrasive cleaners on the chrome or gold finish. Bulbs are replaceable and easy to swap.
No — the Ingot is designed for indoor use only. Shell and chrome finishes are not rated for moisture or weather exposure.
Switch the power off and allow the bulbs to cool. Dust shell elements with a soft brush; wipe metal parts with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid water contact with the electrical components.
