The Object

Curveda wave instead of a straight bar

The Igualeja breaks from the flat, straight pull bar with a gentle undulating line, rounded contours that shift the light along its length as you move past it. Solid brass throughout, it sits comfortably under the fingers and softens whatever geometry it's mounted against. Three lengths and two finishes, from a single drawer to a full run of wardrobe doors.
Why you'll love it
  • Solid brass — durable with a refined, lasting finish
  • Undulating curve softens the drawer or door's flat line
  • Smooth rounded contours feel balanced in the hand
  • Three lengths — from a single drawer to wider fronts
  • Two finishes — gold and silver
Details

No wiring here — just careful measuring, drilling, and mounting. Mortice locks take a bit more patience than a simple knob.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — surface installation on doors, drawers, or cabinetry; check your product's dimensions for placement and drilling points

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver (Phillips and flathead), drill and drill bits, Allen key
  • Tape measure, pencil, level
  • Chisel (for mortice lock installation)
  • Screws and anchors, safety goggles

Step by step

  1. Cabinet hardware — mark drilling points — use a tape measure and pencil; a template helps for uniformity across multiple pieces.
  2. Cabinet hardware — drill holes — use a bit matched to the screw diameter, keeping the drill straight.
  3. Cabinet hardware — mount — insert screws from inside the cabinet or drawer, secure the hardware on the front face, and tighten without overtightening.
  4. Cabinet hardware — align and inspect — confirm straightness and spacing before fully securing.
  5. Thumb lock or dummy handle — confirm orientation — determine left- or right-hand door swing and adjust as needed.
  6. Thumb lock or dummy handle — mark installation height — typically 36–38 inches from the floor to the handle center; align the mounting plate.
  7. Thumb lock or dummy handle — drill and attach — drill pilot holes and secure the backplate and handle with the included screws. Dummy handles install directly, no latch mechanism.
  8. Thumb lock only — install the strike plate — mark the latch location on the door frame, chisel a recess if needed, and screw the strike plate in.
  9. Mortice lock — cut the mortice pocket — use a chisel and drill to create a cavity in the door edge, following the provided measurements.
  10. Mortice lock — insert the lock body — fit it into the cavity and attach through the faceplate with screws.
  11. Mortice lock — install the handle — align the spindle through the lock, attach handles on both sides, and tighten with a screwdriver or Allen key.
  12. Mortice lock — install the cylinder (if applicable) — insert the key cylinder and secure with the cylinder screw from the door edge.
  13. Mortice lock — mount the strike plate — align with the latch mechanism and secure to the door frame.

Good to know

  • Double-check measurements before drilling.
  • Use a level for consistent alignment across multiple units.
  • If you're unfamiliar with mortice installation, consult a locksmith or professional.
  • Make sure all moving parts operate smoothly before final tightening.
  • Dummy handles are decorative or pull-only — they don't engage latches or locks.

On the form

A curvethat moves light as it moves the hand

Where a straight pull reflects light in one flat plane, the Igualeja's undulating profile catches it differently at every point along its length. That subtle movement is what gives the hardware its character up close, even before a hand reaches for it. Solid brass carries the shape through three lengths without losing the same gentle wave.

Frequently asked

It's made from solid brass, giving it lasting weight and a refined finish that holds up well to years of daily opening and closing.

Its softly undulating, sculptural profile brings a bit of organic movement to cabinetry, working well in both contemporary and more classic kitchen or wardrobe settings.

It suits kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, bathroom vanities, and other furniture pieces — anywhere a standard two-hole cabinet pull is used.

Both — the ergonomic curved shape is genuinely comfortable to grip, while the undulating profile also adds a distinct sculptural detail to flat cabinet fronts.

It's available in gold or silver, both finished to catch and reflect light softly along the curved surface rather than in one flat plane.

Two — gold and silver — so it can be matched to warm or cool-toned hardware and fixtures already in the room.

No — while its clean curve reads well in modern spaces, the warm brass base also complements classic and transitional cabinetry equally well.

Its gently wavy silhouette breaks from the typical straight bar, adding subtle visual movement across a drawer or door front that a flat pull can't offer.

Yes — its sculptural curve reads as a genuine design detail rather than plain hardware, making it a good fit for cabinetry meant to stand out.

It's a cabinet pull, sized for drawers and larger cabinet doors, and available in three lengths to suit different widths of furniture front.
