Solid iron throughout — frame, shades, and base. The black finish is applied over the iron and the gold accents are on the shade surrounds and base detail.

Yes — LED G9 bulbs are the specified source and are included. Using other G9 LED types is fine provided they match the wattage and base size.
Minor assembly is required — attaching the vertical arm to the base and fitting the shades. Tools and instructions are included. Takes approximately 15 minutes.
