The Object

See-throughyet the brass makes itself felt

The Husar is clear acrylic with brass fittings — the hardware almost disappears against any cabinet colour, letting the brass accent read as a floating detail. T-knobs in two sizes, pull bars from 9.6 cm to 32 cm hole-to-hole. Smooth grip, firm connection, and no conflict with any existing palette — the transparent body works as well with painted cabinetry as with natural wood.
Why you'll love it
  • Transparent acrylic body — disappears against any cabinet colour
  • Brass accent fittings — a subtle detail that reads from across the room
  • Nine sizes: T-knob in two sizes, pull bar in seven hole-to-hole lengths
  • Smooth grip comfortable for daily use on drawers and doors
  • Fits modern, traditional, and transitional cabinetry equally
Details

No wiring here — just careful measuring, drilling, and mounting. Mortice locks take a bit more patience than a simple knob.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — surface installation on doors, drawers, or cabinetry; check your product's dimensions for placement and drilling points

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver (Phillips and flathead), drill and drill bits, Allen key
  • Tape measure, pencil, level
  • Chisel (for mortice lock installation)
  • Screws and anchors, safety goggles

Step by step

  1. Cabinet hardware — mark drilling points — use a tape measure and pencil; a template helps for uniformity across multiple pieces.
  2. Cabinet hardware — drill holes — use a bit matched to the screw diameter, keeping the drill straight.
  3. Cabinet hardware — mount — insert screws from inside the cabinet or drawer, secure the hardware on the front face, and tighten without overtightening.
  4. Cabinet hardware — align and inspect — confirm straightness and spacing before fully securing.
  5. Thumb lock or dummy handle — confirm orientation — determine left- or right-hand door swing and adjust as needed.
  6. Thumb lock or dummy handle — mark installation height — typically 36–38 inches from the floor to the handle center; align the mounting plate.
  7. Thumb lock or dummy handle — drill and attach — drill pilot holes and secure the backplate and handle with the included screws. Dummy handles install directly, no latch mechanism.
  8. Thumb lock only — install the strike plate — mark the latch location on the door frame, chisel a recess if needed, and screw the strike plate in.
  9. Mortice lock — cut the mortice pocket — use a chisel and drill to create a cavity in the door edge, following the provided measurements.
  10. Mortice lock — insert the lock body — fit it into the cavity and attach through the faceplate with screws.
  11. Mortice lock — install the handle — align the spindle through the lock, attach handles on both sides, and tighten with a screwdriver or Allen key.
  12. Mortice lock — install the cylinder (if applicable) — insert the key cylinder and secure with the cylinder screw from the door edge.
  13. Mortice lock — mount the strike plate — align with the latch mechanism and secure to the door frame.

Good to know

  • Double-check measurements before drilling.
  • Use a level for consistent alignment across multiple units.
  • If you're unfamiliar with mortice installation, consult a locksmith or professional.
  • Make sure all moving parts operate smoothly before final tightening.
  • Dummy handles are decorative or pull-only — they don't engage latches or locks.

The structure

Acrylic and brassvisible only where it counts

The transparency of the acrylic is engineered, not incidental — the body disappears, and the brass screw cap or bar end becomes the visible point. It's how the Husar works in any colour scheme without competing with the cabinet finish beneath it.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
Disappears

Clear acrylic lets the cabinet colour show through — no conflict with any existing palette or finish.

Brass detail

The metal fittings are brass-finished — a warm, precise accent that stays visible where the acrylic fades.

Frequently asked

Yes — the Husar installs with standard screwdrivers using the included hardware. Mark the hole position, drill if needed, insert the bolt, and tighten. Most cabinet upgrades take under 5 minutes per pull.

Clear acrylic for the body and brass-finished metal for the fittings. The acrylic is cast rather than extruded, giving it optical clarity and a smooth surface that doesn't scratch easily.

The transparent acrylic body takes on the colour of whatever is behind it — white cabinet, wood grain, or painted colour shows through. Only the brass accent remains consistently visible.

Yes — the smooth acrylic surface is comfortable under the fingers for repeated daily contact. T-knobs are sized for a full-finger pull; bar pulls for a palm-width grip on heavier doors.

Cast acrylic is impact-resistant and UV-stable indoors — it won't yellow or cloud under normal lighting conditions. Brass fittings are solid and resist corrosion in dry indoor environments.

Yes — screws and bolts for the appropriate size are included in the box. Contact us if you need a specific bolt length for thicker cabinet doors.

Straightforward — align the fitting, drill the hole to the specified size, push the bolt through from the inside of the door, and tighten the knob or pull from the front. No specialist tools required.

Yes — the brass accent has a traditional warmth, and the transparent body doesn't impose a style. They've been used successfully alongside Victorian, Georgian, Arts and Crafts, and mid-century cabinetry.

Wipe with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvent-based products on the acrylic — these can cloud the surface. The brass fittings can be polished with a brass cloth if needed.

Yes — the clear-and-brass combination is one of the most versatile in hardware. It reads contemporary alongside flat-front cabinetry and traditional alongside raised-panel or shaker doors. Free worldwide shipping; delivery approximately 15–21 business days.
