The Object

Rings pressed in brassgrip comes second

The Hunderup Knob is a disc of solid brass with concentric rings pressed into the face — each ring adds grip and catches the light differently depending on the angle. Small enough to sit quietly on kitchen cabinets or bathroom drawers, substantial enough to feel right in the hand. Two sizes, gold or silver finish, suitable for residential and commercial use.
Why you'll love it
  • Solid brass — weighty, durable, built for daily use
  • Concentric ring pattern adds grip and visual depth
  • Two sizes: 2.5 cm and 3 cm diameter
  • Gold or silver finish — suits warm and cool palettes
  • Fits standard cabinet and drawer hardware
Details

Includes the solid-brass plate, toggle mechanism, and mounting hardware. A straightforward swap for an existing switch — power off, match the wires, screw the plate back on.

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power at your breaker or fuse box.
  2. Remove the old cover plate — unscrew it and set it aside.
  3. Take out the old switch — unscrew it from the box and ease it out to reach the wiring.
  4. Disconnect the wires — loosen the screws, or if back-inserted, cut and strip the ends.
  5. Wire the new toggle — live to the brass/black screw, neutral to silver (if your switch uses one), ground to the green screw. Tighten each.
  6. Secure the switch — tuck the wires back, align the toggle, fasten with the included screws.
  7. Fit the brass plate over the switch and screw it in.
  8. Power back on at the panel.
  9. Test — toggle up and down; the light or device should switch cleanly.

The finish

Concentric brasseach ring catches light differently

The concentric ring pressing is done before finishing, so the ridges sit slightly proud of the surface — adding traction without changing the overall disc profile. In gold, the rings pick up warm light; in silver, the finish reads cooler and more contemporary. Both hold their polish over years of daily contact.

Concentric rings pressed into a solid brass disc — the rings add subtle grip and visual interest without disrupting the clean circular profile.

Yes — solid brass construction and a durable finish make it suitable for commercial cabinetry, hospitality fit-outs, and retail environments where hardware sees heavy daily use.

Gold and silver. Gold suits warm-toned timber and earthy palettes; silver reads well with grey, white, and cooler contemporary cabinetry.

Yes — the concentric rings add tactile grip, and the slight dome profile sits naturally in the fingertip. The 3 cm option provides more surface area for pull-open use.

Kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, furniture drawers, bedroom wardrobes, and display cabinetry in residential or commercial settings.

Yes — the concentric form reads cleanly in contemporary and transitional spaces. The gold option also suits mid-century and warm-toned traditional kitchens.

Solid brass with a polished metallic finish — resistant to tarnishing under normal indoor conditions and built for many years of daily use without degradation.

No — wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or pads that could scratch the polished finish. No periodic sealing or treatment needed.
