Installation Guide

No wiring here — just careful measuring, drilling, and mounting. Mortice locks take a bit more patience than a simple knob.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — surface installation on doors, drawers, or cabinetry; check your product's dimensions for placement and drilling points

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver (Phillips and flathead), drill and drill bits, Allen key
  • Tape measure, pencil, level
  • Chisel (for mortice lock installation)
  • Screws and anchors, safety goggles

Step by step

  1. Cabinet hardware — mark drilling points — use a tape measure and pencil; a template helps for uniformity across multiple pieces.
  2. Cabinet hardware — drill holes — use a bit matched to the screw diameter, keeping the drill straight.
  3. Cabinet hardware — mount — insert screws from inside the cabinet or drawer, secure the hardware on the front face, and tighten without overtightening.
  4. Cabinet hardware — align and inspect — confirm straightness and spacing before fully securing.
  5. Thumb lock or dummy handle — confirm orientation — determine left- or right-hand door swing and adjust as needed.
  6. Thumb lock or dummy handle — mark installation height — typically 36–38 inches from the floor to the handle center; align the mounting plate.
  7. Thumb lock or dummy handle — drill and attach — drill pilot holes and secure the backplate and handle with the included screws. Dummy handles install directly, no latch mechanism.
  8. Thumb lock only — install the strike plate — mark the latch location on the door frame, chisel a recess if needed, and screw the strike plate in.
  9. Mortice lock — cut the mortice pocket — use a chisel and drill to create a cavity in the door edge, following the provided measurements.
  10. Mortice lock — insert the lock body — fit it into the cavity and attach through the faceplate with screws.
  11. Mortice lock — install the handle — align the spindle through the lock, attach handles on both sides, and tighten with a screwdriver or Allen key.
  12. Mortice lock — install the cylinder (if applicable) — insert the key cylinder and secure with the cylinder screw from the door edge.
  13. Mortice lock — mount the strike plate — align with the latch mechanism and secure to the door frame.

Good to know

  • Double-check measurements before drilling.
  • Use a level for consistent alignment across multiple units.
  • If you're unfamiliar with mortice installation, consult a locksmith or professional.
  • Make sure all moving parts operate smoothly before final tightening.
  • Dummy handles are decorative or pull-only — they don't engage latches or locks.

Radial grooves — a rhythm around the form

Delicate grooves run around the Huesa's rounded body in an even radial pattern, catching light differently depending on where you stand. That fluting is subtle rather than sculptural, more a texture than a statement. It's the kind of detail you feel before you consciously notice it, warm brass under the fingers with a soft ridged rhythm.

Innovative engineering. Intelligent design.

Frequently Asked Questions

What material is the Huesa Knob & Drawer Pull made from?

Solid brass, finished in a warm bronze tone. The metal is built to last and, like all solid brass hardware, will soften into a gentle natural patina with regular handling.

What design style does this knob and drawer pull feature?

A softly fluted design with delicate radial grooves running around a rounded form, giving it a subtle, textured rhythm that reads timeless rather than trend-driven.

Does the knob and drawer pull share the same design language?

Yes, both pieces carry the same fluted detailing and rounded profile, so you can mix knobs on doors and pulls on drawers without breaking visual consistency.

Where can the Huesa Knob & Drawer Pull be installed?

Kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, wardrobes, and furniture pieces all suit it well — anywhere you want a cohesive, considered hardware detail across multiple cabinet fronts.

What finish does this product come in?

A single bronze finish, a warm brass tone that pairs naturally with both light and dark cabinetry, and deepens gracefully in character with everyday use.

Is this hardware suitable for modern interiors?

Yes, its clean rounded form and understated fluting work well in modern kitchens and bathrooms while still carrying enough warmth to suit more classic interiors too.

Does the fluted design serve a visual purpose?

Yes, the radial grooves catch and scatter light as you move past them, adding a subtle sense of texture and movement that a plain, smooth knob wouldn't have.

Is this product decorative or minimal in appearance?

It sits comfortably in between — minimal enough not to overwhelm cabinetry, but with just enough fluted detail to feel intentional and refined rather than purely utilitarian.

Can this knob and drawer pull be used together on the same furniture piece?

Yes, that's exactly how they're designed to work — the matching fluted profile makes it easy to pair the knob on cabinet doors with the pull on drawers for a unified set.

What makes this knob and drawer pull stand out?

The combination of solid brass construction, a comfortable rounded form, and delicate fluting gives it a quiet, considered presence on otherwise plain cabinetry.
